I was just galancing through Wikipedia andI noticed that the score in the Galway Football final in 2000 on Wkipedia is Corfin 1-3 Killanin 0-3.

Is this the score from the game or is this a misprint.

It must have been a shocking bad game, what was the weather like that day

Give it a break frasier - we all know about your anti-Galway football rants now. When was the last time an Offaly football club won an AI? At least the likes of Corofin, Caltra and Salthill have won AI's one over the last 14 years.

Jesus christ. It seems that because I happened to correctly point out that you couldnt read much into Galways performance against Roscommon because Roscommon were so terrible I now apparently have something against Galway football.

No Offaly club has won a All Ireland club football championship.

Ya, that was the correct score alright, Weather was terrible. Wasn't at it myself so can't tell you much about the game itself. There would have been a lot of talented players in action at a time when Galway football was riding the crest of a wave so can only imagine the weather destroyed it. Probably should have been postponed really.

I've been at Galway county finals played in early November so it's certainly possible that the game was played in typical west of Ireland conditions. Namely lots of wind and rain.

Galway were in the All-Ireland final that year so very possible that the county final was delayed until very late on in the year.

Game was played in torrential rain & gale force wind. The match had to go ahead for some reason, can't remember what though.

I seem to remember that the Galway Co. Board didn't want to have to nominate a team to compete in the Connacht club championship, which is why the match went ahead in what a lot of people deemed to be unsafe conditions.

I think that was 1999, i was at both games, seriously intense games of football. Ballina got a few home town decisions the second day if memory serves me correctly..
