I'd go with

N.Quiad
S.Walsh
R.McCarthy
T.Condon
W.McNamara
S.Hickey if Fit(D.O'Grady)
G.O'Mahony
P.Browne
J.Ryan
C.Allis
D.Hannon
S.Dowling
G,Mulcahy
K.Downes
S.Tobin

If Limerick play 50% as they did against Tipp we'll win By 8 or 9.

Billy, if Hickey comes in at 6 do you drop DOG or move him to midfield? If you move him to midfield who do you drop then? Same question with Geary. Could be some significant changes in the team after the next two games (fingers crossed we come through them!)

I'd take a 3 point win & no injuries picked up at this minute.

Might take that win too but there are a few players that need to play for their places at this stage. Hannon due to come back in which means to me that Breen and Allis have to battle it out for the third half forward spot. Hickey due to come back in, and could be a threat to Walsh in the corner, Wayne Mc on the wing, or for centre back. If Hickey or Geary are to come in at centre back then DOG goes to midfield and so Ryan and Browne could be battling to partner him. A few others that have performed well like Richie, Gavin, Tobin, Downes could do with building on those performances to cement their places. All that should be a serious motivation for players to put in a good performance, very few are assured of their places.

Sat night is it lads,in the Gaelic Grounds, have to prepare for the long trek,I'm still disgusted with the footballers effort against Clare in the first half.
Are the minors playing the following friday night,I would like to take that in if we get over Laois, the Antrim game is on the same weekend.

I'm actually looking forward to this, which is generally a bad omen with Limerick games. Who are we missing, Seamus Hickey will hardly be back already, Hannon has injured himself again (?) and Allis possibly out as well, any other rumours?

I'd go with this assuming Hickey and Hannon are fit

1. Quaid
2. Walsh
3. McCarthy
4. Condon
5. Hickey
6. DOG
7. O'Mahony
8. J. Ryan
9. P. Browne
10. Dowling
11. Hannon
12. Allis
13. Mulcahy
14. Downes
15. Tobin

Strong looking team especially the half back line. I'd say it's definitely our strongest line up on paper.

to be fair we should be looking at a 20 point victory saturday if we've any aspirations for the rest of the season.

Laois will be out to restore pride and perhaps will set themselves up defensively not to concede. We wont be as motivated as much as for the Tipperary game.

A comfortable but laboured victory. There will be no freescoring. Laois have troubled us before in qualifiers.

I wouldn't have Geary anywhere near this team anymore.Fine player in him time but the game has moved on and his lack of pace will have him cot out now and His Bizarre hand passes to the opponents team that i've since in the last three Limerick Games he has played costing up something like 5 goals and a few points. On Midfield I only see Dodge as a Midfielder. But From what i hear now Hickey wont be starting the game so I'd have Dodge at 6 and James Ryan And Browne at Midfield.

Remember Cork and Laois last year, and what happened to Cork after?

I'd like to see Niall Moran get some game time in this match. A few scores would do his confidence the world of good whether he starts or comes of the bench. He could be an important player yet this summer coming of the bench or starting.Maybe we would be better of bringing Declan Hannon of the bench with 20 mins to go. He hasn't much hurling done. We should gradually bring him back. Give him 20 mins in this game and see how it goes.If it goes well then start him against Antrim and with a few more weeks training done by that stage then he would be ready for the All-Ireland Quater final hoping all things go well. Remember the U21s need a fully fit Hannon if there to win the U21 All-Ireland this year with the players they have should be aiming for.

That's exactly the team I'd pick. Presuming Allis is out injured and Moran comes in for him. Just as Mackey said I'd like to see Moran get some game time and he has a lot to contribute yet.

I'd find it hard to pick a team for this game. I don't think anyone deserves to be dropped after the Tipp game. I wouldn't bring Hickey or Hannon straight on the basis of reputation, they will hopefully come in for the last 20 but should have to play their way on to the team. I'd like to see more of Tom Ryan so have him come as a sub in for Wayne Mc who needs to step it up. The only change I might make is if we have a fully fit Geary. He's on the panel for a reason and I think can still contribute. If he comes in or indeed if Hickey is to come in at 6 then DOG is released to his best position of midfield. I would have thought the more physical Ryan would be the better partner for Dodge and would have preferred him early in the season but I think Browne was the better midfielder in the tipp game and in the last few games so if one of them is to lose out I think Browne has to stay.

I don't think this is a game for experimentation as the team that started v Tipp all played well to a greater or lesser degree and tried their hearts out and deserve to retain their places on that basis. Hopefully a few subs are brought in with at least 20 mins to go to give them a shout to raise their hands and if lads are pushing for places and other lads aren't on top form then there should be changes for the next match to make the final call.

Hannon has done his groin again. He would be best off taking the year off and getting his groin back to normal instead if being rushed back and doing further damage. Allis is out for 6 weeks.

Shít that's bad news. He was arguably our best player last year. Is it damaged to the same level again or what do you know? I remember him saying during the league there was little to be done for the injury but to rest it and in fairness I don't think management rushed him back, it's just one of those bad luck things. Hope we see him back at some stage this year though not at the risk of his fitness of course. With him and Allis out for this game presumably Moran will come back in on the wing alongside Breen and Dowling.

Perhaps for the good of Hannon and Limerick Senior Hurling they should drop him for this year if his not right and give him time to come back. The U21s need Hannon fully fit for the U21 championship. We have a great chance of success this year with our U21s. We should mind our U21s. There is plenty of time ahead for the Seniors and we are making progress.

I really think at this stage that Hannon should forget about hurling for the summer and concentrate on getting back to 100% fitness for next year. It will do Hannon or Limerick hurling absolutely no good if he keeps trying to come back early and keeps aggravating the injury. Limerick hurling will need Hannon in the years to come.

How could you even think of dropping Donal grady if the other players were available. Only for the county champions rule he would be captain
