My vote is for Dumb and Dumber. The clue about what it would be like was in the title I guess

Dumb and Dumber is a great film. It was never going to win Oscars but it's very funny.

Go way ya clown it's fcuking hilarious. I'd say you're some craic on the beer. Did I see you forget to change logins recently :). There are loads of way worse ones-Titanic and Avatar being well up there.

Watch it back again. It might have been funny at the time if you were 7 when it was released. Its awful stuff altogether. Agree on Avatar though

P.S. I love you
Highlander 2
Showgirls
Battlefield Earth
Heaven's Gate
And a film I watched on TV at the weekend, possibly the worst ever:
Speed 2.

Not keen on your man in dumb and dumber but even I thought it was funny. Didn't mind Titanic either but Avatar was the greatest waste of almost three hours of my life ever. It never ceases to amaze me how Americans love those stories about how the rebel takes on the big bad boys and wins but don't see the irony at all when compared to their own history.

Re: Dumb and dumber, I thought it was very funny. I read this morning that they were making a sequel with the same two guys but Carey has just pulled out.

Think you missed the point of the title thread.
Heaven's Gate bombed so badly at the box office it destroyed United Artists. Showgirls bombed too as did Battlefield Earth.
For me the second Star Wars trilogy. Made a ton of money and was an insult to those of us who loved the first three.

Probably the last film(s) in a series of movies e.g. Shrek 4, Matrix 2,3 Indiana Jones 4, Star Wars I,II,III, Quantom of Solace.
Aside those, kids movies like Harry Potter, Twilight Saga, Transformers

100% agree. I've lost count of how many times I've watched this or at least dipped into a part of it. It's one of the all time great film comedies. It is gloriously stupid at times and never less than very, very funny. Those who don't like it are analysing it too much.
This might be controversial but I would nominate the Lord of the Rings trilogy. I somehow managed to watch all three and it was a real endurance test. I tried to read the book years ago but gave up on it. Life's too short.

Jaysus, couldn't agree with you there. I loved them. Tinmar didn't like Lord of the Rings either and I loved both the books and the films.
And this is it really. I know people who loved Avatar while I would have happily watched paint drying had I known how bad it was going to be. What a ridiculous world we would have if we all had the same tastes.

Titanic. Easily. One of the most successful films of all time and massively successful at the Oscars too.
Am I the only one that would defend Avatar? Rubbish storyline but who cares the visuals were spectacular. Saw it on a massive screen and thoroughly enjoyed.

I watched it about a month ago on comedy central-still brilliant. The 5 or 10 minutes between picking up the bad guy in the van until he dies eating the burger is comedy gold. Wanna hear the most annoying sound in the world....

Agree with this. Seen the film in 2-D at home and had to turn it off. But in 3-D in the cinema it was spectacular. The storyline was only a minor part of it. It's the same with most James Cameron films. It's all about the visuals.
