Maybe they should drop to B if they are not up to this standard. They will still be one of the favourites for minor and they did win U16 last year.
The underage problems in Wolfe Tones are well commented upon, maybe it is similar here below minor.
Noticable the continuing changing face of Clare GAA.
No Newmarket, Clarecastle, Crusheen or Cratloe in A. SMB poor. Yet these are all the main senior contenders.
No Ballyea in A yet they have been successful underage in recent years.

its early days yet. that wolfetones team two years ago won at u14A so they must have been missing quite a few or have little training done up to now. still with the top 4 to qualify for the semis they still have time to get back on track and qualify. none the less a good win by our lads. we have been beaten at the semi final stage for the past two years at u16A level so who knows what this year will bring.

Loughgraney kid I think it was kilmaley that won the under 14 two years ago won it handy in fact. It was the year feile was on in clare but they were then poor in feile and got caught by barefield in the under 15 last year

Kilmaley, I/K, Eire Og, D/B & F/K are the main contenders, Wolfe Tones wont be far off either. Dont know what happened last week that they shipped a lot of goals but this time of the year teams can be missing a few players with holidays and strenght of the panal can be tested.
Eire Og v Inagh/Kilnamona is the pick of the games this week and will be a better test of the Townies who i believe will be missing a couple of players.
The Bridge are poor this year and are probably too proud a club to drop to B but for the sake of the players should have done

Better to look at the positives. good to see D/B getting back into A grades and the townies too. along with kilmaley and clonlara, these are big population centres so no surprise if they are strong underage. only good for the game in the county overrall. SMB def should be in B. Not fair on lads to get a hockeying like that. every club drops to B or even C every now and again. not the end of the world.

Eire Og 1.11 Inagh/Kilnamona 1.8
Eire Og should have been out of sight by half time after a succession of wides and missed goal chances but went in 5pt to 2pt behind. However they came to life in the second half and put scores on the board but still missed a few goals and points to allow I/K to be within a puck of a ball at full time.

Smith O'Briens 1.11 Eire Og 2.14
Inagh/Kilnamona 1.7 Kilmaley 3.11
Feakle/Kilanena & Eire Og lead the way with 3 wins from 3 and they meet at Eire Og next Tuesday evening, should be a good one

Good to see and about time really, Eire Og have neglected underage huring in Ennis for far too long. With the population at their disposal they should be contended every year but don't sadly.

Snoop I think your on to wind up the Eire og boys again....how is the banner academy getting on heard some great talent went up there so we would be expecting a competitive alternative now to Eire Og in the town of Ennis going forward which can only be a good thing for clare hurling...All its missing is a few townies and its good to see the gaa people in Ennis working hard and not complaining
