ok I just saw Hession lose out in the 200M Semi final. Grand for the first 120 or so and then faded to 4th, lost out on a final place by 100th of a second i think.
Brian Gregan running at 7.25 400m hurdles - his semi final time was third best of all finalists, cold be a medal chance!

Jerry knobber McKiernan just said it terrible that Kenyan athletes were putting on any nations singlets and therefore ruining it for Irish athletes, but didn't we have a girl in the pole vault who didn't sound very Irish to me. And what about our Irish athlete Allistair Cragg ?? We always over hype our athletes.. Some cracking looking women there alright !!!

Jerry doesn't feel too comfortable alongside the two youngsters on today's panel
He can't seem to make up his mind whether to be the Athletics Dunphy, - and being contrary, for the sake of it, - or the new Gilesy, and be more balanced, and the diplomat of the group.
Although, to be fair to him, he's still the 'Lord of the (Athletics) Dance'
