Thought he spoke very well tonight and spoke a lot of the truth. Marty cut him off a couple of times presumably due to time, but he is a guy I would like to hear again.

Anyone trying to make money out of the game may not appreciate his views, but he said there are a lot of clubs out there doing a lot of work, but not the right kind of work. Its all about the basic skills from underage upwards.

Damien Lawlor and Cathal Moore were on as well. The best show so far and it included Tom Morrissey recalling the 1992 Munster Final

Found it fairly ironic that Diarmuid Healy said on his trips around Dublin analysing their training methods in years gone by he would see sessions being done without a ball being pucked and then at the end we got to see Rushe and Sutcliffe doing their own little session with hardly any sight of a ball either. The ball is fairly important as Kilkenny proved to Dublin in Portlaoise.

Yes, have to agree - Healy gave a great insight into why KK are so successful - learn and practise the skills from a young age. The physical side of hurling will take care of itself in time. Dublin are a prime example of this but the hard work going on there will pay dividends in the coming years.

You have hit the nail on the head there HF.

Alot of people think KK are these physical super hurlers etc, but in essence they are stick men first and foremost. The likes of Brian Hogan and Michael Fennelly are naturally big men but they are supreme stick men too.

Tipperary caught them out in 2010 with movement and skill, not hard hits etc.

The sooner the rest of the pack realize that you need to out hurl them as opposed to out muscling them the sooner they will catch up. Dermot Healy pointed this out very simply, whether people want to hear it is up for debate.

On a side, the length of the show kills it for me still. I thought the Colm Keyes piece was a waste of time too.

Very intersting from Healy indeed. As Marty said you could see why he was such a good manager. Poor Cathal Moore is tough to listen to. He is as wooden.

Don't find him wooden to be honest. He actually speaks very well. Maybe his accent isn't thick enough?

Miserable sod: him and Richie Sadlier, both, should try to lose some 'weight'

Very good show last night, the segment with Tom Morrissey was brilliant and Damien Lawlor was fairly vehement in opposing a fixed draw in Munster after that segment, pointing out that in cases like Clare '92, provincial finals still mean a lot to many counties.

In fairness, after all the shtick we've been doling out to RTÉ for poor GAA magazine shows in the wake of dropping Breaking Ball, the current format is pretty good. Good shows throughout this year.

That’s an extremely low, although not surprising comment, given that Moore had to undergo emergency brain surgery in Beaumont Hospital just two years ago and spent the best part of a year getting his life back together again. The lad temporarily losing his eyesight and balance after the operation and had to re-learn how to read and write, among other things. All things considered I’d say ‘weight’ is the furthest thing from the lads mind.

From what i hear, Moore's recovery is remarkable if not miraculous given the seriousness of his illness. Fair play to the guy

It is indeed. He actually got the all clear to go back playing hurling, but thought the wiser of it!

Just seen this tonight.

Think Healy is dead right in his comments about other teams putting KK on too high a pedestal and saying they are already 10 pts down before they even take the field.

This point is illustrated when you see teams play Tipp , teams that would always be hammered by KK would run Tipp very close and yet Tipp who have no hangups about KK would always be very competitive against KK in any big match.

This is because teams feel they have a chance against Tipp but they are already well beat before a ball is pucked against KK.

There is no doubt that no matter how approach them KK are the best team in the country at the moment but Healy was making the point that the gap with KK and other teams should be no where near as big as it seems , it just looks that way when other teams just capitulate at the sight of the Black and Amber jersey.

You obviously have no idea of just how sick that man was very recently and what he has come through since, otherwise you wouldn't coming out with s**t like that! Idiot.

Ignorance is bliss TJ, this is a problem on here that is creeping in. Lads passing comments about lads trying to be funny without pausing to think. There are petty childish comments being thrown about a lot recentlt which are meant to be funny when in fact they are NOT!

Some posters think they are budding comedians with their (so called) witty one liners when in fact they are not imo. Stick to discussion maybe?

In fairness i would think Jimbo meant no harm considering that mans recent plight, but maybe a moments thought in future is called for.
