IT MAY have poured from the heavens today but model Aoife Cogan and rugby star Gordon D’Arcy were all smiles when they tied the knot in an intimate wedding ceremony in Co Monaghan.
The bride, wearing a 60s-style ivory-coloured dress, arrived suitably late for the wedding Mass at St Macartan’s Cathedral in the town.
More than 100 close family and friends witnessed the ceremony inside the cathedral which had been decorated with hundreds of white flowers beforehand.
Several Irish international players were there including Brian O’Driscoll who arrived with his wife Amy and posed for pictures outside.
Models Sarah McGovern, Ruth Griffin and Kelly O’Byrne are among those attending today’s wedding.
The couple and their guests are attending a private reception later this evening at Castle Leslie six miles away.
Gordon D’Arcy (32) looked relaxed outside the cathedral as he waited for Aoife (29) to arrive.

This is obviously big news for a vacuous airhead like yourself but you really just wonder. I was down buying my paper this morning and not alone was the front page story on all the tabloids but also the Examiner and Independent.
You'd think less than 2 weeks after the shame that was brought on the country losing 60-0 to New Zealand the rugby crew and their PR machine and publicists would be keeping the heads down and be in hiding for a while. Not a bit of it.

In fairness, the rugger PR chaps have it down to a fine art of maximum exposure with blanket coverage in the middle of the GAA high treason..... er season.
