I was wondering how long it would be before you posted - must have been a late night at the bonfires last night burning tyres and effigies of the pope and so on.

Enjoy...although I hear mood a bit more subdued this year, what with people worried about Rangers upcoming season and tough away fixtures to Elgin City and Annan Athletic.

You're a month early for the ''Glorious'' part.

There is no such club as Rangers.

The glorious twelfth? As Cerebus says you are a month early. At the least the grouse are safe for another month.
We all should say a prayer for the poor loyalist housewives tonight. A feed of buckfast in their husbands and thoughts on the demise of rangers will lead to a bad night for them.

Was in Belfast last weekend . Got the bus tour which was very good hop on, hop off. Was slowed down by an orange march. Went down the Shankill Road and up the Falls. Saw the lads building those massive bonfires, couldnt believe one was build so close to Days hotel. The Titanic exhibition is very good. Food was dear enough . Would recommend to anyone.

At a coffee morning in Belfast, the Jewish wife said:

Nice one Hitch. Here's one:
Every July 12th a van driver used to amuse himself by scaring the s**t out of every Orangeman he saw strutting down the road in their 'wee sash and bowler hat'. He would swerve as if to hit them, and at the last minute, swerve back onto the road. One day as he was driving along the road, he saw a priest hitch-hiking. He thought he would do his good deed for the day and offer the priest a lift. "Where are you going, Father?" he asked.
"I'm going to say Mass at St Joseph's church, about 2 miles down the road," came the reply. "No problem," said the driver, "Jump in and I'll give you a lift."
The happy priest climbed into the van and they set off down the road. Suddenly the driver caught site of an Orangeman on the pavement, and instinctively swerved as if to hit him, but just in time, swerved back to the road again, narrowly missing him. Although he was certain that he didn't hit him, he still heard a loud "THUD". Not understanding where the noise came from, he glanced in his mirrors, and, seeing nothing, said to the priest, "Sorry Father, I almost hit that Orangeman walking down the road there." "That's okay," replied the priest, "I got the fcuker with the door!!"
