Great win for Tipp.

Will Jason Ryan walk away?

And also fair play to Antrim footballers who beat Galway by a point today as well.

Big win for Tipp. First time ever to win 2 matches in the qualifiers. They did very well to hold out as Wexford got the lead down to a point in the second half, but could never get the levelling point. Ciaran McDonald, Paddy Codd and Brian Fox were outstanding in the defence and Michael Quinlivan showed his points scoring class in attack.

Great victory: we were hanging on at the end and it sounds like Wexford were as profligate in their number of wides as they were against Dublin, but a win's a win's a win, but the manner in which we eked out this victory, after being seven points up at one stage, will stand to us in good stead.

We'll need a bit of good fortune if we're to make further progress, but we can only learn from this year's experience

Great win for Tipp, some really nice footballers.

In relation to Ryan walking away, I hope so. His time is up. While 08 was brilliant, I think he has probably underachieved. We have had 3 fantastic chances to beat Dublin and never did it.

Today specifically the team looked over trained and dead on their feet. Surely to God we could kick the odd ball rather fcuking hand passing every time. Another thing that -------es me off is the fact that he now constantly names phantom teams. Why did he not start Brosnan, Byrne and Bradley today? Each one helped to turn the game back n the 2nd half especially Byrne. This nonsense must have an impact on players mindset coming into the game????

It's yet another disappointing end to another football year.

Best of luck to Tipp in their remaining games.

Thanks, wx
Ryan came across as unbelievably patronising to us in his post-game interview
You'd swear he was after leading Wexford to three consecutive Leinster titles, and that we didn't even deserve to be on the same pitch.
After putting the defeat all down to failures by his players, he finished by attributing our victory to us having come with the right 'game plan'
What kind of sh!te is that?

Is it Ryans Fault that the Wexford players blew it against Dublin particularly this year.He cant be balmed for individual mistakes by his players i.e Masterson last year or the forwards inability to kick the ball over the bar.All a manager can do is organise his team so they are at some stage in position to win the match he did that this year against Dublin and the players failed to finish the job

A fair assessment 76wx1. Don't mind any ape shouting at you!

You are correct, Wexford should indeed have being Leinster SF champions last year.
They have now for 2 years in a row collapsed against Division 4 teams in the qualifiers so yes i agree Jason Ryan has to go.
I witnessed their collapse to Limerick last year and was not too far away from Ryan on the sideline. I was utterly shocked at his response to the way the game slipped away from Wexford.
In fairness to him he come across as a genuine fella who has his teams super fit, he doesn't do bulls**t talk in the media etc. But imo and in agreement with 76wx1, his time is up with Wexford.

Tipperary Abu! We got lucky yesterday, any time the opposition hits the crossbar 2-3 times you know you have being blessed! Hopefully the draw tomorrow morning will be just as kind.

Good news for our hurlers that these counties are placing focus on gaelic football. It'll probably take 5 years or so for us to get back on track after last Sunday's Galway loss so every little helps !

Fair play to Tipp, 2 Munster Minors in a row last weekend & a great win last night. God help all teams in NFL Division 4 next year , well one of the teams in it anyway :-)

Fair play and best of luck to Tipp!

I feel sorry for Wexford though, those of us sat parallel to the end line saw that the ball went out at least two feet over the end line just before the pass was made to the Tipp player kicked what was their winning point!

Ourselves, Limerick and Cork are the only ones left who can do the double, I'd fancy Tipp for that.BTW I got caught in a bottlekneck outside Buttevant earlier if anyone on the road wishes to avoid it.

Far too simplistic.

It's a managers job to ensure that his team are playing a game that is best suited to the skills of the players and is most conducive to winning a match. The amount of hand passes Wexford play is absolutely sinful. This is coached into them.

The next job for a manager is to see where problems &/or opportunities lie as a game progresses and then readjust his personnel or adjust the gameplay to suit. For example when Connoly was sent off against Wexford, we left our corner back who was marking him as the free man, 120 yards from the Dublin goal when we needed scores. Does this seem to be a good gameplan?

This phantom teams naming really gets on my nerves also. Name you best team available and go out and play. We haven't sent out a team as per that selected all season. I know for a fact that there were guys n the team us on the way to Dublin for the Dublin match, who didn't know whether they would be toggling out or not! 5 hours before the game???

There also comes a time when a fresh voice is required in th dressing room. That time is now. We spent too long in division 3, missed too many opportunities to beat Dublin and still in real terms, have nothing to show for the past few years.

Ryan started off exceptionally well in 08 but I think that we have possibly regressed, or in any case certainly haven't progressed in the intervening years. I give him full credit for raising the profile in the early days but think that now is the time to move on. Nothing wrong with that? He will probably do a good job bringing on another team.

Tipp have drawn Antrim next. Not easy, the winners of that play Ulste Final losers.

In fairness Antrim at home was as kind a draw as we could of expected.
They won't be a soft touch at all but our chances are greatly enhanced with the home tie.

If we could win this game and progress to Croke Park it would be a very good season for Tipperary football. Hopefully they can take advantage of Semple Stadium and kick on now.

In wexford Ryan is seen as some sort of Messiah, he will stay and the football fans in the county will scream from the high heavens if there is any call for his departure.
Our football fans are quite happy to stay with Dublin for half a game each year, apparently they consider that a successfull year.
They constantly swallow ryan's assessment of each game and are happy to blame the palayers for the losses but laud the messiah for the victories.
When we win itis down to a great game plan, when we lose it is the players failure to follow the game plan to the letter and they have let down Jason and the county.
There is avery subtle difference between what is acceptable for our footballers and what is acceptable for our hurlers.
This monday will see more people calling for Dunnes resignation than calling for the resignation of Ryan following his repeat failures to get past the first round of the qualifiers. The Wexford website will be full of supporters clamouring for the county board to kep Ryan.He is living a charmed life at the moment. He does possess the ability to sound very reasonable while blaming all around him for repeated failures, I suspect a future in FF beckons.

Looks like there could be an other good Tipperary Minor Football team on the way in a couple of years time. Tipp Under 15 team won the Humphrey Kelleher Memorial Tournament this week end, after winning the Munster Under 14 last year. Two Munster titles back to back by these lads promises well for the future. Here.s hoping.
