Stand out fixture from next two rounds of qualifiers and way more attractive (with more at stake) than either of the remaining provincial finals. I assume RTE will show this on Saturday night.

Kerry very lucky to pip Westmeath and there is their fear of the Nordie teams but home advantage a massive plus for them and surely Cooper and Declan O' Sullivan won't have another bad day.

Tyrone going along nicely but this fixture the last one they wanted.

Easy enough final qualifier against Clare for the winner and great win to have under the belt for q final test.

I'm very surprised to see Kerry as strong favourites. Based solely on both sides' form in their last 3 championship games, you couldn't see anything but a Tyrone win. If Kerry perform like they did v Tipp, Cork and Westmeath they'll be well beaten, but they can surely raise their game for a game v Tyrone in Killarney. Declan O'Sullivan and Gooch will need to make a major impact on the scoreboard if Kerry are to have any hope. Hopefully the sight of some Derrytresk supporters in the crowd will inspire Declan to greatness as long as the woman with the handbag is well guarded!
Tyrone will surely have all the big guns playing, the two McMahons, Gormley, McGuigan, Mulligan, Stephen O'Neill and possibly even Sean Kavanagh.

I am not sure kerry are ready for this one. defeat to tyrone again this time on home turf doesnt bear thinking about! it would be a bitter pill to swallow. still it might motivate kerry to come out of their recent lethargy.

Speculation from informed sources that Kerry will be asking for segregation of supporters for this game. That's a tragedy for the GAA if true.

If you think you'll see the same Kerry performance on Saturday you've another thing coming lads. We've seen them trudge past weaker teams in the past before turning it on when it counts. The sight alone of those Tyrone jersies in Kilarney will be like a red rag to a bull (or Kerry animals in this case). Not saying they'll win it but you wont have any ------------footing around either.
Hard to tell really where Tyrone are. Brilliant in the league proper but havent been great since. I know there was only a kick of the ball between them and Donegal but up to 2 years ago they would of eaten Donegal for breakfast.

I wish I had your confidence. Can't see it though. They couldn't figure out how to beat Tyrone when they were at their peak. How will they do it now.

I will still dream and wear the green and gold proudly.

Tyrone have far too many old players to challenge Kerry this time. They're over the hill, as Pat Spillane says, a team on the way down.

Impossible to see their negative, puke football beat Kerry's virtuous, pure football.

Kerry by 10.

Tyrone are hardly at their peak either now.

Should be good tough game but reckon Kerry will shade it in their own backyard.

Agreed but they seem more organised and composed. Kerry can't seem to close it out. Luck was a fair bit of the situation in Mullingar.

Don't forget, this is the game that decides the team of the decade as well.
Although I'm not sure what decade it decides, the 2020s I think.

Perfect opportunity for final deathmatch scenario between Pat Spillane and Joe Brolly in the neverending studio tussle between the Kingdom and the Nordies!!

Cue column from Dara on Wednesday bigging up Tyrone and their wonderful players but nonchalently mentioning that referees much learn to watch out for the cynical tactics they use.

That is right Jo. They might even have Canavan and Dooher as well!!.

Kerry seem to have had a number of narrow qualifier escapes like yesterday, over the course of the past few years: Tipp and Sligo being previous examples.
They have tended to 'kick on' in subsequent games against more traditionally stonger footballing counties.
They won't be so confident about this one, though, but if they do win out it will serve to mark them down as a serious contender this year

Just the fact that you've mentioned that Canavan might be back is probably enough to secure him an All-Star award this year.

Really looking forward to this one , the first really big knockout game in the championship so far.

Both teams probably short of what they were in their prime and not among the top favorites anymore but both still good enough on their day to have a big say in this championship yet.

Tyrone are not going along too badly and will relish the chance to do over Kerry on their home turf, Tyrone seem to be the more on form team of the two so far.

I guess Saturday will tell us for sure whether this Kerry team is just going through a rough patch or is just clapped out full stop.

If there is anything in Kerry they will surely show it on Saturday, as Jimbo has pointed out they do tend to stumble through the qualifiers and raise their game as they meet the bigger counties. Saturday should tell us if they can raise it or not.

that sounds ominous for everyone else as the last 2 times tyrone won the all-ireland he was meant to have lost the dressingroom on the way to victory aswell.what next Mulligan was spotted slamming tequilas in a niteclub

That's been neutralised by the fact that there's been rumours of bustups at Kerry training the last few weeks.

And while ye are watching them, it sounds like Mickey Harte's latest wunderkind, Darren McCurry, will be notching up point after point. If he is as good as Tyrone hope it will be hard to plan for him as so little is known about him. The only point of his that was shown on the Sunday Game was at the end of the match when Roscommon were completely beaten.

It's hard to know whether this is a match to decide which dying wasp has the weaker sting or if the winner will charge on with August, and maybe September, glory on the horizon.
