6. Robbie Kiely (Arravale Rovers)

7. Alan Campbell (Moyle Rovers)

10. Richie Ryan (Eire Og Annacarty)

11. Alan Maloney (Rockwell Rovers)

Looking forward to this now, Tipp seem to have a settled team which is a positive in itself. Glad to see Alan Maloney back in the starting 15, he has scored in every game since re-introduced to the panel.
Antrim will travel to Thurles with no fear and will cause problems physically for Tipp. If Tipp move the ball nice and quick as they have being doing then hopefully we can overcome the Saffrons.

Pity the admission is quoted @ €20 for a stand alone game, €10-€15 would have being plenty and may have encouraged more to attend. Hopefully it won't put too many off attending as these lads deserve some support.

Get to Thurles Saturday Tipp fans.

That seems to be our strongest starting line-up. I'd give them a good chance on Saturday.

0-7 apiece
Looking too much like a repeat of last week's game when we raced into a big lead, and almost got overhauled

Tipperary 0-10 - 0-08 Antrim, Thurles
Full-time

Hat-trick of qualifier victories
That'll do for starters; anything else is just a bonus, although Down won't fancy meeting us

It has been some turnaround by Tipp since the league. If Barry Grogan was available they would be even more dangerous.

Where will the match against Down be played.

Another great win for Tipp , listening to it on Radio one at work , they said Tipp were much the better team throughout most of the game although they made life hard for themselves by missing a few handy chances after working the ball well up the field , they nearly paid dearly with an Antrim goal chance near the end.

The commentators said that was more Antrim fans there than Tipp even though it was in Thurles.

Tipp are now a better dual county than Galway which is depressing.

By no means certain that Tipp will be playing Down. We will be playing the losers of the Ulster Final (Donegal or Down). Round 4 is always a neutral venue. Great win for Tipp today. This team has great heart and have not conceded a goal in their last 6 games (League and Championship). The Tipp and Antrim supporters created a great atmosphere. Real Championship football.

Pity more fans did not go to Tom Semple's field today. If they had they would have left the place very proud indeed.

I was sat in close proximity to Georgie Hanigan's dad and i thought an ambulance would be needed for both of us before full time.
Tipp started very brightly and dominated the opening quarter with 3 points from Alan Maloney and one from Peter Acheson. Antrim were playing a counter attack game with 7 players sitting deep, when they did break they had fine scores from Conor Murray and the impressive captain James Loughrey. Tipp's defense was inspirational throughout the first half and the game in general. Paddy Codd was excellent at full back i thought, Ciaran McDonald played Tomas McGann well throughout. Brian Fox carried a mountain of ball all over the field and set many moves off.
Up front Acheson was leading by example winning breaking ball and carrying well. Quinlivan was involved in many moves and kicked a free. Maloney was the best shooter though, finishing with 6 points in total. He tracked back well as well and worked hard.
A lot of bad wides kicked in the second half will need urgent addressing if we are to trouble Donegal/Down. While the 2 point victory will be remembered for a long time as a thriller (fcuk it was ), it should of being a 5-6 point victory at least.
The fact that we have a third qualifier game in a row won is brilliant in itself, the fact that a much better performance is in us too is even better!

If just some hurling folk would come out and roar them on, Antrim fans out-singing home support was embarrassing. But as i said earlier the €20 admission fee was a joke if building up an attendance was really wanted!

Just as a matter of interest is there a certain part of Tipperary where football is mainly played or are most of the team drawn from places all over the county?

Another great win for them today to go alongside the good under age teams around at the moment.

12 South
9 West
3 Mid ( Hugh Coughlan Portalaoise (Moyne Templetouhy) )
2 North

The South is the main football heartland historically in Tipperary. Moyle Rovers and Clonmel Commercials dominate the panel.
West Tipperary is now becoming a strong football division and not far off Hurling in popularity.
The Mid & North are Hurling strongholds but recently Thomas McDonaghs (North Tipperary clubs amalgamate), and Loughmore Castleiney from the Mid have won County Senior titles.

The spread of players is pretty good in a Hurling mad County.
