Presuming you will lose to Limerick, would you retire then or stay on to try and build another new team?

The threads on here if we lose this (and lets face it, champions of the last 5 out of the last 6 years vs us and all our wonderful over-achieving in the last 70 years, good coming side or not) are going to be fantastic. I'd say rebelrebel is watering at the mouth in anticipation of 29th...

On the outside prospect that we cover everything that we need to do to win (for I absolutely believe Kilkenny are beatable, but there are many things that need to go right) it will be very interesting to see what happens, there are a lot of miles on dem clocks, manager and all. At the same time you have the likes of Larkin at 28, Walsh at 28, Fennelly is 27, Power, 26. Limerick fans would be posting goodo on here about such players reaching their prime, age-wise.

This is likely codys last year with this Killenny team. Once they lose to Limerick next week Cody will hardly hang around.

Against Galway, it was clear thar the depth of young talent is not in the squad and it will take a number of years to rebuild the Kilkenny team.

Cody had a few good years but will he hae the appetite to start with the task of building a new team for next year?

Good god, as a Tipp man I will be screaming Limerick on regardless of their chances. Only positive with a KK win is you might disappear. Just one thing, if Limerick by some stretch of the imagination happen to lose, do you want John Allen out, as surely he would be to blame?

Looking forward to playing Tipp in the semi final. It was desperately disappointing that Limerick blew a 7 point lead with 15 minutes remaining in the first game. Tipp will not te the same opportunity in the semi final.

Regarding John Allen, I want him to be the most successful Limerick have had in the past 39 years. At the moment he is trying to prove himself and he is blessed to have the best young hurlers in the country at his disposal.

This year is the year where there are to be no more excuses, a lot of time, money and effort is put into preparing this Limerick hurling team. They should be expected to beat all before them.

I refuse to buy into this thing about Kilkenny not having a future. Kilkenny CBS, Castlecomer School and St Kierans have been dominant in Leinster Schools hurling in recent years. Kilkenny Under 21s did as they liked in Leinster but I wouldnt read much into that, their real test will be the All Ireland Semi final against Galway.

If Cody was to build a new team he has plenty old guys to hang on to and young lads that have all the basic skills, the ability to win their own ball and composure to do the right thing on the ball under pressure.

But they lost already against a Tipp team that held back some of there better players? They did play well though, so the ifs and buts of what they could have done count for nothing. You should drop the young thing, we saw how some of the young starlets performed during the week!!

Tipp wont get the same oppurtunity to come back because if they play limerick again limerick wont face a tipp team that were asleep for 55 minutes. The minute tipp started to play well limerick fell apart and got hammered.

And the best young hurlers in the country got beat by a tipp U21 team with no senior panelists despite having 18 wides

I heard tonight in Thurles that all Tipp's training from now on is geared towards Limerick in the semi final, they are not very confident they can stop the limerick Juggernaut but they are going to give it one hell of a go.

Excellent Blanco, the Limerick Tipp semi final should be a great game.

Similar to Limerick really. I hear they are thinking of experimenting with playing a few players out of position against Tipp in case they need extra options for the final
