Haven't heard a thing. Tony Kelly the only player who can't play Wednesday. Do they put out a similar team as the Waterford match with just a week to the u21 final.? I hope so. It would be great to win this again. Unfortunately I can't make it and will be relying on AFR for regular updates.

What call will the management make on the team selection of the Under 21s who were on Intermediate team the last day?

If memory serves me right numbers 1 to 4 (Taafe, Flanagan, D McInerney and K Ryan) of the Under 21 team from the other night also played in Intermediate Semi final back in June. There are others too such as Tots O'Connell and Davy O'Halloran who featured for the Intermediates.

The under 21 final is the much bigger game and more important in my view but it will still be 2 weeks away after Wednesday's match so maybe no harm to give U21s mentioned above a run out against what will be a very stiff test from Tipp Intermediates.

The fact the same management are in place for both squads can only be a good thing with the development of players from underage competition to adult competition being number 1 priority unlike our junior football team where egos hade to be massaged to get them to line out.

U21s Stephen O'Hallaron, Shane Golden & Cathal McInerney did not feature on the Intermediate squad the last day but should be available v Tipp. McInerney would be a direct replacement for Kelly.

I would be putting out the same team as the last day wiyh the 1 enforced change and give as many of the U21s as possable game time ahead of the U21 Final

Cathal Mc played senior last year for Clare so that rules him out. Golden played & won the All Ireland with the Itermediates so that's him gone too. I'd like to see O'Halloran given more game time along with Peter Duggan. Maybe try him a full forward to see how he goes.

O'Hallaron is a half back, cant see him or never heard of him playing in the forwards.

Peter Duggan might be a good option in the full forward line, would provide an ariel threat

I cudnt really say about expectations in this grade, however, there are at least eight all ireland U21 medal winners on that team so they should be decent enuf. They beat Cork pretty comfortably and must be favourites against Clare. After that I wudnt have an idea.

My worry with that Tipp team is midfield, Gleeson & Coen are very similar hurlers. If Clare win midfield we are under pressure straight off.

Very strong everywhere else but Clare are loads of hurlers too, won't be easy but still fancy Tipp with home venue too.

Any Clare Team named yet? Have a feeling they will try out some of the Under 21 fringe players and subs in this one.

Looking forward to this evening, should be a good game. Pity about the weather though.

If Outsider doesn't throw up a report, i'l throw one up later tonight.

Big Clare crowd expected?

I wouldnt say a large Clare crowd Carryharry - the few die-hards will go all right. Outsider will def be there though I'd say. I met him last Thursday night after the U21 game, he's after buying a bike.

I'm out of the country for this one so would very much appreciate any updates. Hopefully Clare FM will broadcast it live.
Think the lads have a real battle tonight and hopefully they can do the business.
Best of luck to the Banner.

If that 15/8 is available it is a stunning price on Clare against Tipperary.

Good luck to the lads and management. If the banner get a bit of luck we might end up with a few cups once more this year. It all helps.
