Townies beat the Shams by 4 in a pretty poor game. 2.06 to 1.05 I think.
Anyone explain how the losers section works ?

Liscannor beat Tones 2-9 to 2-8 with goal 4 minutes into injury time.
Rd 2(A) 8 loser into draw to play 4 matches against each other in Rd 2. 4 winners into rd 3.
Rd 2(B) 8 Rd 1 winners into draw to play 4 matches with 4 winners into 1/4 Final. 4 losers into Rd 3
Rd 3 : 4 winners of (A) play 4 losers from (B) and then those 4 winners into 1/4 finals
4 losers in (A) battle for relegation

Senior Football Championship

a trail basis for 2 years and that starting dates be given at this
stage when consideration is taken of how the county teams are progressing. We also
propose to change the current format of the senior championship from 4 groups of 4
for 2012 and onwards to a knockout championship with a back door system,
guaranteeing all teams a minimum of three games. The competition is to work as
follows:

Round 1 – 16 Teams open draw
Round 2 – 8 Rd 1 winners play off with winners qualifying for ¼ finals with 4
losers going into Rd 3
– 8 Rd 1 losers play off with winners qualifying for Rd 3 with losers
going into relegation play off
Round 3 – 4 losers from winners play off in Rd 2 play 4 winners from losers
group in Rd 2 (4 Losers of this round go into semi finals of Senior B )
¼ Finals – Rd 2 winners play Rd 3 winners
Semi Finals – Open draw
Final

was not surprised with result here but thought their would only be a few points between them. ennistymon are 2o/1 for champ which is good odds . they along with cratloe have been very succesfull at minor and 21 level. i think they appeared in 4 minor A finals winning 2 in recent years . they have also appeared in last 3 under 21A finals with 1 win out 3.

this is why football is so s**t,i mean 3 points and 1-3 from the losing team in two of the games..if i was a supporter from barefield and miltown i wouldnt go to see em in the next round if they were playing next door..surely to god a team can score more than 3 times in over 60 mins football,Chronic!!!!!!
