Best
Tipperary
- strategic football plan implemented and bearing fruit major time
- conscious effort to play club games with county players available
- Semple Stadium

Worst
Kildare
- Seánie Johnston fiasco
- Bankrupt fiasco
- Whinging about venues in the press
- Worst county grounds in Ireland
- Average (at best) "centre of excellence"
- No strategic plan or respect for hurling
- No respect for club footballers
- No balls to stand up to McGeeney

Mixed
Kilkenny
- Club championship central to everything
- No salary for Cody
- Plenty financial reserves saved up
BUT
- scandalous disrespect for football

Cork
- Dual county
- Best club fixtures schedule in Ireland by all accounts given the circumstances
- Underage structures well established even if not entirely successful
BUT
- Disastrous rep with county players
- Perhaps poor methodology when selecting underage management teams

In Clare Clondegad play Breckans in Senior football 2 days before the Munster U21 final. They have 2 players involved. What a joke

are you suggesting that st brekens football panel and all but two of the clondegad football panel should be without a game because two lads who are fit enough to play two games a day decided to be dual players?
good luck to all in both codes but no way should the brekens v clondegad game be changed .

It should really be moved to a midweek game or on weekend before or weekend after. We should have 2 or 3 rounds of the championship played by this stage anyway.

Cork are the best for communications, twitter etc. anyway. More wrong than good with county board. Underage results poor and no real attempts to be made..disregard for club players. Its possible that next round of SFC won't be played until start of October.

Would agree with that.

I would add as a positive for Kilkenny is that they have a club championship (the O'Byrne Cup) specifically for the clubs without their county players when the county players aren't available early in the year so the non-county club players to have competitive games all year. Very good competition too.

How many league games did these 2 players play with Clondegad? I would be 99% sure that the answer here is zero. So you are suggesting that a football team (Breckans) play the most important game of their year midweek to accomodate the opposition who have a couple of lads who mnay or may not even bother to play and who have no real interest anyway.

I am delighted the football clubs stood up to the county board last week and insisted on no midweek matches.

Can't see this thread lasting too long but I would love to hear what people think of Limerick CB? Genuine discussion now with no names please.

I'd say mosy people in KK GAA are delighted with the county board. The interest is not in gaelic football at any level, the clubs could not give two s**tes about it so why blame the county board.
The biggest negative is not having a spectator friendly second ground but this may be addressed when we open our new floddlit training facilities with two new pitches out in Dunmore.
