Well, its finally here! Charleville take on Newtownshandrum in the Junior A championship. I predict a narrow 15 point victory for men in red. I hope Ballyhea will have good crowd control measures in place as a bumper crowd is expected.

Think Charleville had couple of players on county minor team this year. Be great to see it producing a few diamonds. For a town of its size, it has produced sweet FA in terms of inter county hurlers.

Charleville have to be red hot favourites here. They are a club on a roll, unbeaten all year at this level and Newtown by all accounts are only interested in getting this match over with and heading to the Galway races, Charleville by 16.

didn't Charleville win the county last year, lost an All Ireland final? Have they no intermediate team?

It's Charleville's second team, a formidable outfit in their own right.

charleville's second team agaisnt's newtown's third is hardly the clash of anything titanic!

in a couple of years time when their first team's meet in the premier intermediate chamapionship, you'll have something to talk about!

Charleville will be senior in 2 years, All Ireland Senior club contenders in 3 or 4 years in my opinion.

Charleville should win this well. Newtowns third team is really poor. Charleville might lose a few players to their intermediate team but they should be far too strong in this one.

I agree, charleville's second team should be Junior Premier in my opinion.

they are at it again, Newtown have 2 seniors playing tonight which should even things up a bit and if former great Paul Ryan comes on Charleville will be in trouble.
