i know kerry will bring a huge crowd sunday as im sure will donegal and kildare , my hunch is this could be close to a sell out , has they ever been a q/f with 80k + not involving dublin ?? the GAA could get 150k into croke park over the 2 days that would be some achievment in these harsh times , roll on sunday !!

15,000 Kildare, 15,000 Donegal, 10,000 Kerry, 7,000 Cork. A few neutrals and you will just about reach 55,000. A 1/4 final is no big deal for Cork or Kerry. They wont travel in big numbers

Cork footballers probably wont pull crowds in until the semis, this our 9th quarter final since 01 and with a possible double on again on the other front with the hurlers in a semi following the rebel county can be expensive for supporters down here.
In saying that they will probably have good enough support sunday.

I'd say they will get aroudn 50k both days. The Dubs have become spoilt and probably will feel the Laois game will be a handy win and so wont turn up.Cork wont bring a huge crow.I'd say about 5k, they brought a pitiful number to the quarter final in 2010.Down,Mayo,Donegal and Kildare will bring the biggest crowds.

Not every county has 2 teams getting to the business end with regular occurence and thus more MATCHES to be played every season and more expenses.
In the last 5 years cork senior teams have played 16 times at croke park. We are not exactly next door to it either.
Its countys like Limerick who got their first appeareance at croker in nearly 100 years last year who have awful support, it was embarrsing against Kerry..one man and his dog spring to mind. You would think the whole county would have turned up.!

Cork and Kerry will feel like the away teams, in terms of numbers. The relative novelty for Kildare, and of course proximity will see white being the dominant colour in the stands.Cork fans really expect to be back for both the semi and the final, and I would be surprised if more than 5,000 travel. My guess would be 40,000 on Sunday, 60,000 on Saturday.

and 50 from Limerick......( didnt anyone tell ye that ye were at home.
There was 23K at Cork/Kerry this year, id guess if it was Limerick/Kerry at the Gaelic grounds ye would struggle to get the numbers in. Infact Limerick played Kerry in the GG last year in the munster semi final and the attendence was 6800. Big difference.
Ye have 4K appx at yere home match in the championship this year v Clare at the GGrounds.
Were you at croker last year..correct me if im wrong but it was the first appearence of a Limerick Senior team in the championship at Croke park in nearly 100 years and no one turned up. Imagine that.

Yerra what's to understand... Cork footballers probably won't pull crowds in till the semis...maybe ye should tip off Kildare... save them the journey on Sunday?

Whats worse is people jumping on a bandwagon when a team reaches a final and pretending they are interested. I understand now why Cork footballers and Munster rugby team both wear red. Its so the bandwagoners can wear the same red polo shirt to both

You couldnt get a better example of a bandwagon than Limerick footballers....6800 at home to Kerry last year in the Munster semi final...if Limerick where in a munster final would you get that?....Theres no bandwagon in Cork calm, our teams win things often enough, yere lot if ye make a final at all come running out the woodwork..2000 munster U21 hurling final replay v Cork at the GG ..everyman and his dog came for the second half after havent not bothered their arses to get down the ground in the first place..
