Since AFR will now be our favoured Forum, let's try to set the scene for the AISF. a few observations. JJ will stay at FB, Joyce will lose out to B Hogan. Midfield stay the same,TJ will be lost as an impact sub due to R Hogan's suspension.

It will be interesting to see if Tipp start Eoin Kelly in this one, it will be full forward on JJ if they do.

It is a bit similar to 2009 where due to injury he was having a very bad year barely pucking a ball and to most not justifying his place on the team but he went into te final with a point to prove and was excellent in the final against JJ.

Are KK playing any club matches before the Semi Final?

Michael Fennelly was saying they had a few closed doors training sessions before the Limerick game that he thought were very useful, will they be doing the same again I wonder? SLR will be disgusted if they do.

They have every right to have these training sessions but anytime any other county has them before big games we always get the lazy guff from Journalists and the like that KK don't do those kind of things.

I think this game will have a real AI final feel about it , which might actually not be that helpful to the winners of this match long run going into the final.

Now AFR people, I've been here on and off a few years but the other site has been converted to a Remortgaging type site so we'll just pitch our tent (So to speak here). I know one of the site admin people but haven;t spoken to etc since the the meltdown. Suppose money etc. are taking precedence over Hurling Noreside these days. AS for the Hurling website in "The county we share a border with" sure I don't think I'd have the heart for the time being. No, we'll hang in here (as it were) in a state of semi exile.

I know i do but sure, like minded cats wouldn't afford the fiver to register there, what with our own website rented out to a subprime lender. Tough times let it be known.

In those Sky TV adds Henry is wearing his Ballyhale kit. Who is hurling well at club level in the county? Who are the bookies favourites for the county tittle?

Yep Kelly on JJ, bit of an unknown really, wonder who JJ would prefer, Kelly or Omeara, perhaps even John o Brien might be in there.

If Kelly starts be only natural if Pa Bourke doesn't I suppose, but methinks he may only get 20 mins to prove himself, which is something that would never have been uttered in times gone by. Think he could play major part for us in this game whether starting or not.

How are the KK injuries coming along. We want them all fit
and happy for the semi!!

Sad to see KKcats gone. Always enjoyed reading on there and posting very occasionally. One of the big pluses was for those of us abroad getting updtaes on how the injuries and club games were going.

The KK boys are too tight to pay the fiver for pview and too tight to run their own site apparently.

Murphy, JJ, Tyrell
Walsh, Hogan, Doyle
Fennelly, Rice
TJ, Shefflin, Larkin
Fennelly, Power, Taggy

FB Line solid. Tipp will prob rain ball down on Doyle but he looks good enough and is surrounded by Hogan Tyrell and Rice/Fennelly and Tipps game isn't one of strong fwds winning ball in the air.

I expect us to dominate midfield and we will prob see Lar dropping out to pick up loose ball help Tipp breakeven and therefore create space around the FF line. We will need to track him, maybe Murphy could be the man there as he seem to read the game well from deep.

We will have to do well on our on puckouts as the Tipp HB line is excellent. We will have a big height advantage over the Tipp CB's with TJ prob starting and we need to exploit this. Expect to see short puck outs after Lar moves out the pitch and trying to hit the corners directly.

Tipps bench looks stronger up front with potentially the 6 goal bourke missing out on a start for Kelly (who is looking very fit at the moment - saw him in the south final). Bourke to come in for Kelly with 15 to go. I think they will go for the experience in the front.

We have Ruth on the FF line, Buckley MF & HF? Would expect to see Hickey if thing go wrong on the HB line with JJ moving back out (but this time NH won't move outside the 21).

Shefflin back on frees.

Kilkenny have very rarely closed the doors, a very small number of times in the past 10 to 12 years. I dont think they closed them once between the build up to the 2004 All Ireland final to the build up last year in 2011. They closed them recently allright. I have been in Nowlan Park about 20 times and have never been locked out anyway.

Can any of the Kilkenny posters here post what training sessions are open to the public, and what sessions will have a game.

Sad to see KilkennyCats website go, sign of the times I guess.

Tipp boys are in the habit of paying fivers (even to see the Liam McCarthy if memory serves correct!!). Hence they have no money left for grub and have to bring the 'hang sangiches' in tin foil. ;)

I wouldn't pay a fiver for another counties site when there's good sites like this who operate free and full of contributors from every county.

And, like this site, Kilkenny cats was a free-to-join site. I'd happily pay the fiver for KK cats to come back up, even if it was only for the club scene side of things.

Incidentally, are you signed up to any fee-required GAA sites?

To any new KK posters on here, snoop is a WUM / TROLL / fool.

Choose whichever description you want. He will come on to every KK related thread and have a snipe. He is best ignored.
