Maybe this was posted before, haven't seen any all year? Is it a cost-cutting exercise or what's the deal?

There was a chap from Donegal going up each entrance in the Upper Cusack pre match and playing a tune on bagpipes to gee their crowd up. Maddest thing I ever saw!

Aw man that sounds great bringing back the ould days to the next generation and here are you calling him mad.Like the Pecker Dunn it was all part and parcel of big match days all over the country years ago and more of the loss it is.Prime boys would snigger at their likes today I suppose.Pecker Dunn and pigs crubeens and Clare playing Cork in Munster championship hurling in the Gaelic Grounds with six or seven of us young lads jumping out of the back of the ould lads VW.Man like the song goes. We had it all

I was never a fan of Brass Bands, but the Bagpipes should not be got rid of, and I have long held views on that.
My only explanation is that sometimes out of sheer boredom, guys in meeting rooms come up with these sort of decisions. It can range from anything to having to bear the cost of giving them a sandwich, to losing out on the money made from seats needed for them.
