Philip Brennan is out of our match on Wednesday which is a big loss to Tulla.
Brian Lynch is emigrating Friday to Australia.
I think it's safe to say Tulla won't cause any shocks in this group. They just dont have the panel to cope with those losses.

Interesting results; would have thought Cratloe would have had more to spare than that.
Also I would have thought the Tones would have been closer to Tubber.

Disappointing result, and scoreline, for Wolfe Tones alright.
Straight wins for Tubber and Scariff mean that the quarter-final place ( and B final place ) will come down to their third round clash. Shannon and Killaloe are out.

Wolfe Tones have gone backwards last few years. I know there have been a few gone abroad but between the senior and junior team i'm sure they can come up with a better 15 that car about winning.
Will be tough to be Smith O'Briens but we'll do it
Any report on the Cratloe game?

cratloe won 1-16 to 1-14.. were always ahead but never let do so too easy. led by 4 at half time got a goal which came from a line ball that should been have to josephs. amazing how these things end up in scores. josephs goal came near the end. our lads played as well as they can. were missin 4 starters from the clonlara game who will hopefully be back for the bridge and lost another after five mins. best team won but best our lads have hurled in a while.
conor mcgrath was scorer in chief and thought conor ryan was excellent for them.

They profited from similar "luck" in 2009 v Tubber when they looked as if they were about to exit the championship, they then went on to win it out.

Thanks for that bp, Keegan Bradley placing in the USPGA has funded a €10 accum on your picks. The teams above all winning is paying 15/1, decent price if you think they all have a chance.

Ha, you waited until the first three had won before going ahead with the rest !
Not sure if following my picks would be the road to anywhere bar the poorhouse - there's a couple of very tricky ties left there, Éire Óg v Ballyea could go either way ( as your betting implies ) and you probably don't know it but Kilmaley are the draw Kings of Clare hurling.
Best of luck anyway harry .

Indeed, CQ and Kilmaley seem to play out a draw annually

You reckon? SOB beat us in league already by 2. Tubber and Scarriff have both beaten Tones in championship by 2 point more than they beat Smith O'Briens. On stats alone SOB will beat Tones by 2. On hunger and desire from some Tones lads it could be be even more! I look forward to being proven wrong and Little Bubbles if you are one of the panel of 25 from yesterday I hope ye ALL ( and not just 9 or 10 )realise how long it took us to get to Senior in 1983 and what ye face throwing away

I believe there's a lot of history attached to the Ballyea/Eire Og match, being an outsider to Ennis I wouldn't have know but according to paper Ballyea relegated them in '08, I can't imagine that many from either team will still be playing though from '08 as both are young teams.
As an added factor wasn't the lad coaching Eire Og coaching Ballyea last year?

low expectations in ballyea for this match as team missing at least 4 players with another couple carrying injuries. eire og have the inside knowledge with their coach. will be next year at least before ballyea can advance in the championship.

Apart from that game I don't think that there would be much history between the two at adult level,
back in '08 I think there was a mistaken belief that Éire Óg were too good to go down, while the game itself, as far as I can recall, was influenced by an unexpected late arrival and a maybe unexpected non-arrival.
