OK boys and girls.Preseason games start this weekend and I will be on vacation next weekend so might as well get this years thread off the ground as I know how ye were waiting for it with bated breath.Best of luck with yere respective teams on the road to the Superbowl. We had a very civil discourse all the way through here last year and no doubt it it will remain on the same level this year and I would urge posters to stick to this thread rather than cluttering the site up with individual posts.Good luck to all we look forward to the missives.

Are we allowed talk about FF here this season or will we start up a new thread for that?

Throughly enjoyed last seasons nfl thread. Good craic and banter. A good diversity of teams being supported by everyone on here. I know I have another GB fan to back me up when/if times get bad :)

You are in for a treat.Advise you to hit the laba early the previous night as tailgate partying starts rather early in the parking lot on game day.I have seen pubs less well stocked than some of those suv trucks are.

I've really enjoyed this the last few years. My own team the raiders won't be troubling post season unless palmer shows something we haven't seen since his college days. Added hassle now of being in same division as no 18 now to boot.
My early forecast based on closing form of last year is that the eagles were the best team in the league for last 7 weeks so lookin fwd to seeing how they progress in the mine field of nfc east,I think they might win the whole thing.
In the afc the ravens will once again make the conference game imo, really were miles ahead of the pats but somehow lost. There they could meet Denver and the affordementioned peyton.
Can't wait for and go the silver and black!

Can you just email NFL and ask them for admin password? Had a look at the app and everyone seems to have signed back in. Might need two leagues depending on how many runners we have. If u need a hand gimme a shout, I've never admined one before either.

Yeah one of the lads in work goes to the patriots at least once a year and won't stop telling me about the tailgating. It's early september against the ravens so I'm hoping it'll still be hot, and the BBQ's will be on the go. Fact that Baltimore is only an hour down the road too I'm hoping there will be good mix and atmosphere, probably won't be as good as an NFC east match up but should be alright.

No I meant who's playing in London this year?!!
Jaysus that's terrible news about Reids son. I've always liked the big man, lookds as grumpy as hell but comes across as a good decent man. May his son RIP.
CC I've a soft spot for the raiders. Have you ever seen the 30/30 documentary on ESPN?

Looking forward to the Patriots having another good year. Hopefully an extended run in the playoffs also. If they can stay injury-freee...a big if for any NFL team....they should do well. They're better than Baltimore and Pittsburgh, who have been their big AFC rivals the past few years, and hopefully the Jets do their annual morph into a 3-ring circus. (sorry yankee)

September games in Giants stadium and Philly are usuelly sun splashed all afternoon long with temps in the *0s and if your seat is like mine was the last time I was there facing the sun all afternoon long then make sure you lather up with the sun block. One thing to have a hangover next day but the sunburn along with it can pretty much fcuk up the whole experience.

I don't place any store in the pre-season games, lad, so I'll hold my fire until the season proper starts
I haven't been hearing too many earth-shattering reports about my Redskins roster, but I'll probably still be keeping an eye out for the Saints
