Does anyone know if this game is going to go ahead tonight. Two fishermen tragically died in quillty this morning. After this game being postponed the last time and with the next round of games down to be played at the weekend, will this game have to be played tonight

A terrible tragedy, particularly to a small tight-knit community like Quilty.
The two men are locals I believe, and are bound to be connected to team members, so I would say it's pretty certain that this game will not be going ahea tonight, my condolences to their families and friends.

Not a chance this will go ahead based on the identities of the lads.

i would agree highly unlikely game going ahead.as one of the poor men that died very involved with club. anyway this is a community tragedy and im sure players and supporters of kilmurry would be in no mood for football and knowing cratloe im sure they will go with the wishes of kilmurry. i know if the game does not go ahead it will create big fixture problem but their is more important things in life than sport.

yes ur correct . one of funerals will probably be next weekend as relations of one of men drowned are currently in australia,
if match did not go ahead tonite it could not take for at least 2 weeks as cratloe have 5 players on clare u21 hurling panel. it would also hold up rd 2 . my guess if kilmurry win they play eire og if they loose lissycasey they play this 2nd rd will probably not take place till this day week.

Yes, I echo that. I know of one of the men - he was friendly with my aul fella. A real decent skin.

He was indeed, a true modest gentleman and a great GAA man, as indeed are the whole family, shocking loss for a tightly knit community. Sympathies to both families. Surprised this match is going ahead but I'm sure it's with the blessings of the families.

What was the scoreline. I hope they don't lose out by a point again

KIB play out draw with Cratloe
15 August, 2012 - 08:52 GAA
Kilmurray Ibrickane and Cratloe will have to do it all again after last night's Senior Football Championship Clash at Cusack Park ended in a draw after extra time.

The West Clare Outfit were leading by two points at half time 9 points to Cratloe's 1-4 - with the only goal of the game coming from Liam Markham.

After sixty minutes both sides were level 1-9 to 12 points and it went into extra time - but after a further 20 minutes and both sides scoring a further 3 points a piece - it goes to a replay at the same venue next Sunday.
