What's the delay with the Junior A and B championships in Clare?

I see in today's Champion that no fixtures are down for next weekend either, so that means the earliest the next round will be on will be the weekend of the 31st August.

That means that the whole month of August will have seen no fixtures being played. It's insane. What possible reason could there be for the delay? Especially for Junior B - it's not like any of the county players are involved.

They probably have forgotten bout them!!

Something needs to be done about the fixtures in this county. A more structured inter-county season would be a big help. No club games all summer!!

Lads, give the county board some credit; they know that as soon as they put a fixture in for August they will get plagued with clubs saying they have players on holidays or tied to county teams etc.

You're joking me right??

Of course people take holidays during the summer but every team is affected by that. It's no reason to not play any games during the month of August.

It's a bizarre situation. And of course there is absolutely no communication to clubs in relation to when fixtures might/will be held so no one can make plans anyway.

The level of organisation is unbelievably poor.

As bad in Tipperary lad.

Junior B hurling in the West division started in early May, still games in the group to be finished.

Junior A football is as bad, most games in the South and West played, Mid final is this wknd. But the North division is only starting group games this wknd.

A fcuking joke so it is, Junior lads being expected to train from April through to November if they contest County finals.

Clare Junior B 1/4 final draws

Group 1 vs Group 4
Group 2 vs Group 3

First vs second

So it's:
Tubber/Inagh vs Corofin
Tubber/Inagh vs Whitegate
Crusheen vs Eire Og
Scariff vs Broadford

Semi final draw not made.

Presume the games will be on Sunday week but you never know with the geniuses in the Clare county board.
