Post all news, rumours and match reports for the coming season here.

Sahin, if it happens, will be a fantastic signing. One more attacking option is still needed, particularlt down the right.

I have been on a couple of soccer forums and all the Pool fans are raving about him, why is this. He only had a handful of appearences for Real and his record in Germany is ok without been spectaular, another Aquillani methinks.

Please take this out of the Gaelic games section GB.

Ok in Germany? He was player of the year 2010/11 which instigated his move to Real.

I merely responded to the request of staycalm to start a thread for each club to stop the board clogging up.

I get that GB and it was all a smart idea till you stuck it in the Gaelic Games section.

fans always get excited about potential new signings and look for the best reports of them, its natural. he may or may not turn out to be good, you never know till after a few games..

If he was that good me thinks he would not be going to Anfield, unless of course he has a burning desire to play with Andy Carroll or has a big interest in history.

I have noticed that he does not score many goals 13 in 135 league games, his assists are 1 in every 4.5 games, Is there many watchers of German football here? He could be another Aquiallini.

Rather stupid comment lacking all kinds of knowledge, where to start!!

Oh yes, he was signed by Real Madrid. Don't think they signed him because he was s*it. FULL STOP

Not prolific goalscorer, then again neither was Alonso:

Key member of Dortmund's 2010-11 title triumph and was voted the Bundesliga's player of the season.

As someone else said, who knows, but he can't be bad

He was a case of mistaken identity, no other reason. My point is some here have not seen Sahin play but guess he is crap. I saw him in Bundesliga and he was excellent.

He isn't even signed but whether he did or not I still think he is a good player.

How does one do that Harry as I made the same mistake when I set up the 2012 NFL thread the other day and would like to change or delete it and set it up under other sports

I don't know how Liverpool fans can judge him because he has rarely played for Real and they didn't seem to put much stock in German football when United signed Kagawa from there.

However, he was a very good player with Dortmund. I was surprised that he went to real as he was not ready for that move IMO. Maybe Real thought it was a bit early for him too so that is why they gave him a 6 year contract in the hope he would develope under their gaze at Madrid. However competition is fierce and Sahin can be forgiven for not wanting to hang around for another year warming the bench. I think it's only a loan move so Madrid still see a future for him at the end of this season.
Be a good signing for whoever gets him. Liverpool should be in dreamland if the have him instead of Adam.

Liverpool have reached an agreement with Heerenveen to sign winger Oussama Assaidi.

The 24-year-old still has to pass a medical but should that be completed without complication he will become Brendan Rodgers’ third signing since he took over from Kenny Dalglish in June.

He cant be another Aquilani for the simple reason that Aquilani cost 20million and hardly kicked a ball.
My understanding is that Sahin, if he lands at Anfield, it will be a loan deal.

Interestingly Aquilani rocked up in an Italian jersey last night v England. Still looked poor though!

Lads getting excited by the possible signing of Sahin is gas altogether. Real have been trying to offload him for months now for next to nothing and nobody was biting, they even tried to throw him in with the Modric deal but Spurs passed on him!!
