1913 All-Ireland S-F SH Tipperary (Toomevara) 10-0 Roscommon 0-1
Taken from the Tipp GAA PR's compilation. I wonder how many shots at goal did Tipperary take in this match?
Any other amazing scores

I see they were using the binary scoring system back then. Very advanced.

So it was a close enough game then John if it was Binary ... with Tipp only scoring 2 goals.

Sure based on the old scoring system wasn't 1 goal worth any amount of points so be it Binary or Decimal Tipp were doing the dog on it once they scored a goal and Ros id not.
I have been known to be wrong every now and then so maybe I misunderstand the old scoring systems and when they changed.

John, the '1's and '0's only as Binary numbers in the scores was a very good spot and just another reason why the score itself was amazing. You would think though that Tipperary would have had to make it a point 'not to score a point' to end up scoring 10 goals only.

2010, an Intermediate Championship game held in Claughaun.
Kildimo 6-3
Pallasgreen 0-18.
I may have that Pallas score slightly wrong (0-16, 0-17 etc.) but it was around that. 18 scores to 9, and still lost.

A little known fact is that frank Murphy, runai Roscommon county board at the time and great grandfather of the cork incumbent invoked the little known 'any number of points trumps any number of goals' rule and Roscommon were awarded the tie.

You'd wonder how a team could be that dominant and still allow the opposition in for two goals!

I guess they were too busy being in the Antrim half.
I believe Nick Rackard scored 7-1 that day

Too lazy to check, but didn't Cork get 10 goals against Laois in last year's championship?

Played in a NY Junior Hurling semi final years ago in Gaelic Park, we scored 7 -11, still got beaten by 14 points, think the final score was 10 - 16 to 7 -11. Needless to say Aer Lingus was flat out bringing in forwards for that game.

Played in goal and won a football championship match, admittedly Jun B, by 1-17 to 0-00, not many keepers can say they kept a complete clean sheet ) The opposition weren't even a bad team, with a former Cork minor and a former Cork Junior player in their ranks, we were just demented on the day in our determination to prevent scores. Ref even awarded them a free on 21 in front of goal very late on, and up stepped the former Cork minor (he was still in his early 20s) and he duly hooked it wide. Strange day at the office.

New G.AA.programme "Seo Spoirt"on TG4 fronted by a very impressive Dara O Cinneide with Pat Fleury +Joe Connolly.A refreshing change from the claptrap of M.Morrissey.This was an intelligent discussion programme by ex players who know what they are talking about.Worth going out of your way to watch so well done to TG4.Watch it Friday 8.30,you wont be disappointed.
