Kilkenny will be built up as red hot favourites after today, despite having been beaten out the gate only a few weeks ago by Galway. Will be interesting to see if they can produce a performance anywhere close to that in the final.

Galway are going to be annihilated beyond comprehension*
*I expect to hear and read lots of variations on this theme over the next few weeks.

Galway very handily placed going into the final. I actually fancy them to win it.

Current price from PP website Kk 2/7 Galway 3/1. Galway definitely worth a punt at those odds. Looking forward to 9 September already. Would settle for a similar result to '93 at this moment in time. Will be worth savouring.

A lot will depend on what Galway team will show up.... could be really great final or could be something like what happened today.....

KK plus ten points. I'd expect Galway to put it up to them though, it won't be as bad as today or the AI finals against Waterford/Limerick.

Another variation of the kind of comment Hold the Line was referring to above. Maybe we'll surprise everybody and not turn up at all.

He possibly doesn't expect the match to be over after 15 mins.

Aye, it won't be, Galway will use the ball in a vaguely intelligent manner which will keep it competitive for a decent bit of the game. But KK will get the goals at the right times and win it pulling up.

Hard to argue that Galway's won't be huge underdogs which is amazing as they have been very impressive this year. If it was anyone else other than Kilkenny against them they would probably start favourites. Guess it shows how great this Kikenny team is. I would hope we will get a tough competitive final though.

We will have to head to Knock en masse after that. A few novenas might also now be required.

Good man. You can be our secret weapon! The non believers or the believers (whichever way you look at it) can go with you to Knock and the rest of us will go to Croke Park!

Today's game, in terms of KK's performance, has no bearing on the final.
Galway will not play into our hands the way Tipp did today. They will not be hindered by longstanding animosity.
They are not afraid of KK anyway, and have beaten us already. They have a very good manager.
We can ill-afford to be without Michael Rice, and must hope that Michael Fennelly shakes off whatever was niggling him today.
I hope the prospect of exacting revenge for the Leinster Final, plus the chance to give Henry a probably unsurpassable ninth medal will be enough motivation for us.
Best wishes to all Galway fans for the next few weeks.

Dunno if the cats will win pulling up and am not trying to be smart but you mention the cats getting goals but surely not beyond possibility that galway get the goals and cody's boys being human(and as far as we know they are just human beings) start getting flash backs to the leinster final, bit of panic sets in and they start taking wrong options etc. i am not saying it will happen but its a possibility

Anthony Cunningham will be happy to be in the position Galway find themselves in.Kilkenny will be red hot favourites after yesterdays game.Tipp scored 1-15 yesterday with not even a handful of their players playing well and imo Galway would have much more quality in front of goal.Galway are a young side and a lot will depend on how they are affected by the hype in the build up to the final.

While KK were very good yesterday and will be deserving favourites for the final with their big game expeirance etc, it would be dangerous of them to read too much into yesterday given the shambles Tipp are in at the moment, remember Tipp have been poor all year, it's just that other teams have not been able to take advantage.
I would expect KK to win but Galway certainly have the hurlers and the abilty to win this AI even if KK play well, how they can cope with the big day will tell a lot and it could well turn out to be one of those 'you have to lose one to win senarios', but it should be seen as no shock if they deliver at the first time of asking.

Cunningham will have no need for motivational speeches for the coming weeks training, every Galway player knows they'll need to dig deep again and up their performances from the Cork game to rattle Kilkenny.
Don't think he'll be sending Joe Canning out to man mark Tommy Walsh though!
