2 games in and its 1 loss and a draw.
No need for panic just yet. The loss was to the mighty Raith Rovers and Morton weren't long finding out they wouldn't have it all their own way last Saturda. Ali, Floats like a Butterfly, Stings like a Bee, Crawford earning a deserved share of the spoils.

ACCIES!!!!!!

Methinks that was young crane's reason for starting the thread.

Hopefully we don't have any Queen of the South camp followers, hereabouts

Accies 1 Morton 1

Accies and Morton shared the points in a remarkable game at New Douglas Park. After a decent opening spell from Accies, the experienced Morton team began to take control and it was no real surprise when they took the lead in the 15th minute when David O'Brien headed in a cross by former Accies man David Graham. Accies were up against it and their cause was not helped just before half time when skipper Alex Neil was ordered off for his second cautionable offence.

The visitors continued to look the likelier team after half time but Accies never gave up and were rewarded for their persistence with 10 minutes remaining when Ali Crawford (left) scored from close range. Morton captain Michael Tidser was ordered off by referee Crawford Allan for dissent with 4 minutes to go and both teams had to settle for a single point.

Big game against Cowdenbeath (away) at the weekend.Could do with a win to boost morale as much as for the 3 points on offer. We dont want to get behind the big boys like Raith Rovers too early in the year

C'mon you Accies (that was typed in a very strong South Lanarkshire accent)

Accies have this morning signed 20 year old midfielder Gary Fisher on temporary transfer from Kilmarnock until 1st January 2013. Gary had a similar spell on loan at Cowdenbeath last season. Billy Reid commented "I have been following Gary's progress for a while now and I am pleased to bring him into our squad

Thats a great signing it will give us some much needed options in midfield

Unfortunately our young lads succumbed to the might of Celtic on Tuesday evening.

Glasgow Celtic 4 - 1 Hamilton Accies
Accies trailed at half time in this SPL under 20 game at Firhill. It was a decent first half from both teams, with Accies going close early on when James Martin volleyed against the bar from 6 yards after a deep cross from Ryan Finnie on the right. It was Celtic that took the lead, however, with a superb strike from 25 yards by Patrik Twardzik that sailed into the top corner, giving the Accies goalkeeper no chance.

The second half began badly for Accies, with full back Darnell Fisher fouled in the area and Atajic scoring from the spot despite a good effort by the Accies keeper. The home team extended their lead even further in the 54th minute when a good pass by Twardzik set up Denny Johnstone to score with a good low finish.

The pain continued for Accies on the hour, when Celtic No 9 Atajic fired home from the edge of the area with the Accies defence looking a bit ragged. Accies came back to life inside the final 10 minutes when, just after Celtic's No 6 Findlay had been sent off for a rash tackle, a low cross from the right was slashed past his own goalkeeper by substitute Henderson.

That proved to be the end of the scoring and Celtic won the game 4-1. Accies played well at times but the home team were deserved winners.

The Accies team; Allan, Finnie, Kilday, McGlinchey, McMann, Lyons, Fraser, Kirkpatrick, MacKinnon, Martin and Docherty
