Manchester United will open their quest to reclaim their Premiership crown lost in such dramatic fashion last year when they visit Goodison Park to play Everton.

They face an Everton side that impressed during the second half of last season and ended the season with just three defeats in their final 23 games and are currently unbeaten in their last 9 games.

United impressed on the road last season picking up 42 points on their travels and have a good record on Merseyside with just three losses in their last 20 meetings at Goodison Park.

With Manchester City and Chelsea both picking up wins yesterday, Sir Alex Ferguson’s knows his side needs a to make a good start.

To celebrate the return of Monday night football www.Fantasy5Live.com are delighted to offer Football fans the chance to personalised football picture from www.totalgiftz.com not to mention early season honour and glory in their fantasy Football game.

Fantasy5live is a new real time fantasy sports game for GAA, Rugby and Football - it offers players the chance to play an exciting and strategic game in a banter filled competitive environment. It’s free to enter and updates in real time. The concept is simple - all you have to do is log onto www.fantasy5live.com, register and pick five players from the squad of players on show.

To make your task even easier, we have picked three players that we think will have a big bearing on events tonight.

Fantasy5live Three to Watch:

Danny Welbeck: The arrival of Robin Van Persie looks set to push Welbeck down the pecking order however with the Dutch striker set to start tonight’s game on the bench Welbeck will start up front alongside Wayne Rooney. The England striker is set to be offered a new four year deal at Old Trafford and he will be looking to build on last season’s tally of 13 goals and 5 assists.

Nikica Jelavic: Had an impressive second half to the season following his arrival at Goodison Park from Rangers last January. The Croatian striker scored 9 goals in 12 games in the league with a further two goals in the FA Cup. The 26 year old was tipped to be a star at Euro 2012 and while he was overshadowed by the performances of Mario Mandzukic he still managed to score against Ireland.

Shinji Kagawa: The man tasked with being the creative force in the United midfield Kagawa has looked impressive in pre season. The Japanese International scored 17 goals and had 10 assists for previous side Borussia Dortmund last season and if can build on that then United fan won’t be short on entertainment this season.

So why not log onto www.fantasy5live.com and register for the first Monday night game of the new season.

Thanks
F5L team

Fergie will be gunning for Moyesie, tonight; on the surface he'll be all smiles and handshakes, but he'll be seething with resentment below the skin for the man whose team's spirited fightback opened the door to City's title resurgence.

If for no other reason, the handshakes/touchline body language should make for essential viewing: it'll put the Murphy-Maher 'coming together' in the ha'penny place

I thought there was supposed to be just 1 dedicated thread per club on AFR to prevent clogging with multiple threads on largely the same topics???

We'll see tonight, Nick
I know they've always been good buddies, but also that Fergie marks down that 4-4 draw as the 'turning of the tide'

I think Fergie might deploy RVP in a role similar to that of Lar yesterday.
