Yesterdays result is going to stand to Galway for the final. Wait and see. Galway will win the All-Ireland. Its the wake up call they need going in against Kilkenny.

Why would they need a wake-up call ?

Incorrect and lazy Brehony-esque analysis. One of the hallmarks of Cunninghams reign has been to take the scoring pressure off of Joe, moving D Burke up front along with developing Donnellans scoring threat have greatly increased Galways attacking threat. A Joe recovering from injury was a 'no-show' against Offaly and Galway still won easily without breaking too much sweat. Clearly Kilkenny are on a totally different level to Offaly but Joe has never been more fit and his no shows look a thing of the past.

Also Galways backs were good enough in the Leinter Final and if anything have improved since judged on the semi against Cork.

We will win it, I have absolutely no doubt about that. Kilkenny, in their own heads, already have the All Ireland won after their victory over Tipp. I wouldn't be surprised but they're all down in Langtons with the Liam Mc Carthy tonight at the 'Homecoming'.

Yesterday will play right in to Galways hands, Galway will be the more focused team, the Leinster Final hype has already disappeared since the Cork game, while some are billing yesterdays win by the Cats as the greatest of the Cody era...It wasn't. Galway might not win by ten points again, but they won't have to...One will be enough.

We've already had 4 days out in this Championship and unlike the Cats, we are unbeaten...Thats the way it will stay too, this Galway team don't fear KK, they will relish the opportunity to give them another hiding, JJ and Fennelly were lucky to have missed the humiliation of the Leinster final, they won't be so lucky the next day.

I agree! I actually think Galway will win.

Galway won't be as naive as Tipp tactically, have a far better set of forwards and far greater goal threat than tipp (when tipp haven't a clue what to do with their forwards like this year at least), and won't be naive at the back and leak goals like tipp did.

Good man, more of this type of talk, preferably out loud and in the papers/on the TV, and Kilkenny will primed.

On on adult level of conversation, I think its very hard to call the final at the moment. I fancy Kilkenny to sneak it but I wouldn't be surprised if Galway win it. As a hurling man, I wouldn't begrudge them an AI after all their underage/club success, they deserve a senior one for all the work they've done over the years developing young talent.

And as a Leinster man, either way Liam won't be in Munster this year, that's all you can ask for ;)

i'm a bit worried about you tipping KK, did you not go for Tipp by 2 last sunday? can you not go for galway?

I wasn't the only Kilkenny lad who tipped Tipp to win.

And I tipped them purely on the basis that I thought they're defense was due a big game. Absolutely thrilled to be wrong of course.

Besides I'm no bookie, what would I know about predictions!!

KK don;t want to win the AI ; they want to destroy Gy for having the balls to bate them up in the Leinster final.

could play in GY's hand if Gy hould their nerve.

I just cannot see it. I think that after last Sunday there is to much experience in this Kilkenny team to allow any complacency set in or distraction take over.

As I have stated over and again, other than Cork (who I dont think are anywhere near the trio of Galway/Tipp/KK right now) we have yet to see Galway win a game that was in the melting pot with ten minutes to go.
This Kilkenny team have done that over and again over the past 10 years.

I don't think you can expect Galway to do that for the first time in an All Ireland final.

Ah ya, I don't see you saying that to lads predicting a massive Kilkenny win. That's because it's what you REALLY believe is going to happen! If there's one thing that will being ye down, it's the smugness factor!

Galway won Leinster because they dominated possession. They will never dominate Kilkenny so completely again.

Tipp made Kilkenny look better than they were IMO. Galway will be playing the ball, not tying to take out the man, so I'd give them a chance. I reckon it will be a close game.

somehow i doubt very much that any of the KK players are posting on here. if KK are to lose the final it won't be because of the smugness of a couple of supporters or complacency on the players part it'll be because they were beaten by a better team.

In fairness I'd say everybody would be very very surprised if KK didn't win well. Especially the bookies!!!

Looking at it again today and talking to a friend of mine in Newport there is a feeling in Tipp that after the poor performances in Munster against very average sides that they may have gone back from 2010 and couldn't hope to hurl KK.

If only they could go back to the pre helmet glory days of 1971. Larkin would be short a head anyway!!

By the way he is great to watch in full flight. He looks like he isn't very fast and then he just takes off like a bullet.

Do Galway fans really think Barry Kelly will not be fair to them in the final?? I don't think he has ever cost them a tight game ?(open to correction) - I work with a Galway man and he thinks they got the worst possible referee......

Hard enough beat Kilkenny, impossible when the ref will use 2 rule books. This will happen. Shefflin will be in his ear all day. They gave it to the wrong Westmeath man.
