Just watched back the Sunday Game. At the end of the analysis they show clips based on Kilkenny's hassling and intensity, titled 'KK pressure'. It seems clear in these clips that KK committed a good few fouls in their tackles, forcing turnovers from Tipp. But on the reverse side very soft frees were awarded to KK upon pressure from the Tipp players. If KK are to be allowed this intensity it should be the same for both teams.

Watch it back but in a brief clip it contains a clear foul on B Maher resulting in a Tipp point; Michael Cahill fouled on the ball and then blown for over carrying, scoreable free for KK; and then the last one is the most interesting, very tough tackling from KK, Paul Curran possibly fouled, then Stapleton definitely fouled by TJ Reid, pulls across his chest and loses his hurley, then Aidan Fogarty jumps on the ground and soft free to KK.

In that short little clip it highlights three occasions where KK are allowed tackle toughly but Tipp are not. I hope we have a level playing field for the final. Before I'm lynched I'm not trying to say this caused Tipp to lose the game, I just feel it's worthy of examination. Where's An Moltoir when you need him?!

An Moltóir left An Fear Rua due to musical differences.

Did you see the Tipp goal by any chance?

Not only did Lar foul Herity by giving him a shoulder in the chest, but knowing his team mate was following in, he then purposely fell on top of Herity so that he couldn't recover. The most blatant free out I ever saw in my life.

And don't start me on the sneaky one handed pull on Rice that leavs him missing the final.

Don't post son when you've been on Granny's sherry. Makes for great comedy. This revisionism is great. I'd say that by next July you'll feel hard done by not to be going for Five in a Row. And to refute the above we'll just reference Paidí for concrete evidence and Lar as we take the Moral High Ground.
AS for breaks Paidí was the only person to orchestrating them for us . a compound fracture for Michael Rice actually.

I suppose if you only watched the Sunday game as opposed to the full game you would have missed the refs failure to punish padraig maher on many occasions, not booking Paul curran for throwing his hurley etc. Referee had a poor game, Made mistakes against both teams but to suggest kk are getting favours from refs is beyond a joke.

I read several newspapers on Monday as well as attending the match itself. Most of the writers confirmed my view that the ref was awful and Tipp took full advantage of that fact. To suggest that Kilkenny got any benefit from him whatever is beyond a joke.

Was at the game and am not a Tipp man to answer some assumptions there. Lar's was a foul on the goalie, I'm unsure about Maher's on Rice as his swing was low and it is by accident that it rode up the opponents hurley to his hand. This happens every weekend on a hurling field somewhere. The swing back on TJ was a yellow, correct decision by the ref, no more than that and followed a fairly robust tackle by TJ that should have been blown anyway. It's just a point of discussion, on balance I think KK got away with more in this one.

That is hilarious.
Even Michael Duignan could find no fault with the goal.

Lar did not fall on Herrity. Lar stayed on his feet while Herrity fell over after the shoulder.

I don't think it was a shoulder to the chest either as Herrity turned into take Lars shoulder
at the last second. I think because of that it was more shoulder to shoulder than it initially appeared. That's just my view on what happened.
