Nap cruised thru today against ahane and adare dug deep to beat patrickswell. With killmallock thru from last night it's over to emmets and Garry Spillane to see who comes thru. I am going with emmetts to book the last place. Killmallock against nap and a repeat of emmetts versus adare.

The draw could be anything. Why not wait til the draw was made before starting a thread?

Declan Hannon will be suspended for the County Semi Final. Will be an even enough game. Its all on the day.

Na Piarsaigh wont be touched though, they played in first gear today and beat Ahane comfortably and I think they will have too much for Kilmallock.

The semi final will be a clear sign of where this Na Piarsaigh team are going over the next few years. A loss and they will be back in the pack with everyone else but based on their last 2 performances I have a feeling that they could be about to seriously dominate for the next few years. They are blowing teams away with the ease we havent seen from a Limerick club team in a long long time and they are still a relatively young team who will only get better.

This to me is a bigger game than anything they have played in the last 18 months

And this year chanpionship has shown kilmallock are the only ones that can come near them the chasing pack has fallen further behind.effin were probably the unluckiest team in there group this year yet barely sraped thru today against granagh who after beating adare fund themselves in relegation.

This years county is theirs to lose. However the fact that they have had to go back for Shane O'Neill is a sign that they need every player, and bear in mind that Brian Hartnett must be 35 or 36 and he was a key player for them last year. These guys wont be around forever.

That is true but Kieran Kennedy who was one of their main forwards last year didn't even start today so he can take O'Neills place for many years to come. And give it a year or 2 and they will have Ronan Lynch available so they arent stuck thats for sure

They were very solid yesterday and we can have no complaints about the result. They look like a team that will dominate for a long time.

This all sounds like cute hoorish to me, trying to make Na Piarsaigh the favorites, but the game will 50:50. Bookies have them both at 11/8 to win the county.

Ya thats true, Ronan Lynch will be available from next year on. What became of Bradley Russell, I remember he got a rake of scores in a match a couple of years ago. Where is John Madden who got a great score in the Munster final last year?

Bradley stared at full forward in Na Piarsaigh's Junior city semi-final win over St. Patrick's on Saturday. Going well enough at the moment but probably more suited to Junior.

John Madden and Pat Gleeson are just back from the states and are "cup tied" at the moment, or so I heard at the Junior match.

As far as I know Russell was a sub for all of last year so I presume he is hurling junior but I wouldn't know for sure. I see they finished the league part of the minor championship with a scoring difference of +99. And their u16s qualified for the county final at the weekend. They just seem to be getting stronger and stronger and hurling is now the sport of choice for lads in that part of the city which can only benefit the club even more in the long run

agreed, it was a despicable stroke that merited a red card but which was missed by richardson, he was in a lot of pain apparently

A very big win in the last game accounted for most of that +99 average.

That's true but to score nearly 60 points in one match takes some doing no matter who you are playing

I did not see it but the guy next to me saw and he said it was a bad one. I hope the lad is ok for the next day.

It was a disgraceful incident to have happen on the field of play. Dave was having a splendid game up until the incident which i must admit i did not see what happened but it was obvious from the outset he was badly injured. On a lighter note it was great to see the adare lads getting stuck in when adding insult to injury declan hannon got a red card for apparently a verbal exchange with the referee.
