Letting Carroll go without a replacement is a disaster for him.

It's just that Pool are in the relegation zone now, he sold Andy Carroll who had a blinder yesterday, and Pepe let in another howler today ...how long before the fans turn on Rodgers?

Liverpool fans a lot more patient than your rent a mob who think football started in 1992 or that sugar daddys were always in the english game.

Facts are there is 8 long months ahead and a hell of a lot of time for things to change or judgements to be passed.

Honestly should a manager be sacked after 3 games? AVB has 2points more than BR, Wenger has 4pts more? hardly impossible gaps with 35 games and over 90pts to play for no Hitch?

I'm sure I don't know what you mean by my 'rent a mob' RR?

As regards patience, wait and see what will happen if things keep going as they have so far, especially with Everton in the top half of the table.

The average soccer fan has the patience of a starving wolf presented with a wormy carcass!

Heard Rogders couldnt believe the board would not sanction the move for Dempsey - they wouldnt offer more than £3m. They're short now it seems up front, not to take away from Arsenal today. Long way to go though.

Liverpool could end up getting Drogba until the end of the season yet, that would be a brilliant move for Liverpool if they can sort out his wages, he is still a top striker.

As I see it they've given a sticky enough wicket to Rodgers anyway. Cos Kenny spent so much for so little in return Rodgers has had to make do with what he's got , so no big signings. But I dont think there are any great expectations from them for this year anyway. If he does slightly better than Kenny this season it will be acceptable enough and the purse strings will be opened for him next season.

Like the patience they showed Souness, Evans, Houllier, Rafa...Your mob were never known for appreciating much like having the nous to applaude a team off when they have been given a lesson at home.

Looks like he was promised funds to bring in players and this went balls up. He's paying the price of last summers splurge. From spending cash on anything the owners have now gone uber cautious.

It's conceivable that after the next 2 games they will have only 1 pt after the next 2 games, Sunderland followed by utd at home.

Not sure if the fans will turn on Rodgers or the owners. IMO Rodgers position will come under threat if or when empty seats at Anfield become a regular and revenue is down.

Of course the owners not releasing funds could simply cost them more in the long run if it comes down to compensation packages atc.

So you agree that Hodgson was not shown any patience?????

My lot? I dont own a team or come from anywhere in England so who is my lot? I've stuck by Galway hurlers all my life if that's what you're referring to, but even then I was never blinded by delusion.

Houllier and Benitez were shown ample patience because they qualified for the CL more often than they didn't. That's where the money is for owners, and the big nights for fans

I'm sure you find it even more amusing SB that the very posters on here that were spreading vile and venom about Chelsea and Drogba in particular, are now pinning their hopes on that very man to take a pay cut and join them out of sympathy.

It's true what they say about karma.

I know, but if the fans believe he has been shafted by the owners with regard to transfer funds they'll stay on his side.

Of course this won't last indefinitely, if points are not being put on the board, expect chants of Rafa Rafa sooner rather than later.

For someone who calls the 5th amendment on following a team you sure do post a lot on a team called liverpool..if it wasnt such a big deal maybe we should be seeing you here until the championship starts next season?
