One match to go, but I'm certain there are plenty of All-Star spots already set in stone. We'll have a go sure!

1. Paul Durcan

2. Keith Higgins
3. Ger Cafferkey
4. Frank McGlynn

5. Lee Keegan
6. Karl Lacey (FOTY)
7. Rory Kavanagh (has to be fitted in somewhere, great year!)

8. Ryan Bradley
9. Barry Moran

10. Mark McHugh
11. Alan Dillon
12. Paul Flynn

13. Paddy McBrearty (if Mayo win, then Cillian O'Connor)
14. Colm McFadden
15. Colm O'Neill

Donegal only conceded one scorable free against Cork, if they do similar against Mayo then you can rule out Cillian O'Connor. Exceptional display of free taking the last day but I think he won't do enough from play to make up for the lack of frees. His horrific miss at goal v Dublin will also count against him.

I'd have Michael Quinn from Longford instead of Kavanagh and Kavanagh instead of Ryan Bradley.

McHugh or McFadden for footballer of the year depending on who plays better in the final.

On the one hand I can't argue with that team as all the players have had fine years and it probably won't be too far off what's picked.
On the other, like all All-Star selections it's ended up very heavily weighted in favour of the AI final teams. Like, do we really believe that 13 of the best players in Ireland this year were from two counties?

I think the likes of Paddy Kelly, Emmet Bolton, Peter Harte, Michael Quinn and Michael Daragh Macauley have been superb at different times, but they might be hard pressed to get an All-star because performances in the semi and the final are fresh in the mind.
