Dublin unchanged from the semi. Somewhat worrying. One of the backs, and I'll not name names, really should be on the bench as he has not played well and in particular struggled in the semi. There's a perfectly good replacement, and a better player in my view, sitting on the bench. It may not be the difference between winning and losing but you never know in a final. Sometimes it's inches.

Hard to know how it will go. I'm hopeful on the one hand and glad it's not bloody Galway we are playing, who are a complete bogey team for us in under age All Ireland Finals. Also we beat Clare while not playing well and Tipp didn't exactly destroy them so witha bit of luck it might go our way.

Best of luck hope Dublin do it.Tipp have a fine strong team just feel they will be too strong for Dublin.

Something tells me Dublin will win this. All the talk is about Tipp.

Dublin deserve an All Ireland for all the work they've put in. It helps that they are underdogs.

There in not a lot of talk about Tipp either , they are favourites on the back of beating Clare who Dublin just beat and looking inmpressive agaisnt Galway in the final.

I reckon it will be close game and go go either way, with young lads it is more often than not how the handle the big day.

Last year in the Football final Dublin were rageing favourites agaisnt Tipp and Tipp pipped them at the end , from a Tipp perspective I hope for a similar result on Sunday.

ive seen tipp twice and dublin once, and based on that slightly unscientific sample.....

would have to make tipp 5/6 point favourites. i think the 4 point defeat flattered clare a little in the munster final. dublin had a physical advantage against clare that they wont have on sunday.

if i had a negative against tipp it would be that they make it slightly harder for themselves than they should. thought they got a little casual about 25 mins in in the munster final when they thought the game was as good as won. then against galway they overplayed the ball in the first half, and being over inclined to go for goals.

part of me doesnt want dublin to win both minors ( the rising big blue machine and all that ) but having said that dublin underage hurling deserves an all ireland title.

This time last year the Tipperary Minor Footballers defied the odds to win the All Ireland final against an outstanding Dublin team. Next Sunday the boot is on the other foot. Dublin are the outsiders and Tipp are short priced favourites with the bookies. It was Tipp's performance against Waterford in the Munster semi final that announced them as serious contenders for the All Ireland. There were not as good in the Munster Final against Clare, but played well against Galway. IMO Dublin are a much better team than the bookies' odds would suggest and this will be a closer game than a lot of people think. Both counties, to their great credit, have several dual players on their panels and deserve success for that alone. If Tipp win on Sunday, Bill Maher, John McGrath, Stephen O'Brien and Dylan Fitzelle will become the first Tipperary players to win All Ireland Minor Hurling and Football medals. After all the pleasure these young lads gave Tipp football supporters last year, I would love to see them do it. On the Dublin side Cormac Costello and Eric Lowndes are playing in their 3rd Minor All Ireland Final and if Dublin win on Sunday they will more than likely complete the Hurling & Football double in 2 weeks time. A huge prize at stake for the dual players on each side.

Good post SG.

It would be special seeing the lads winning Minor medals in both codes.

Good luck to Tipp management & players this Sunday.

I'm sure Dublin supporters wouldn't begrudge these dedicated lads getting their just rewards.
But we're not looking for any sympathy votes; lets do it on the field of play, lads

One change on the Tipp team from the Semi Final. Sean Maher (Clonoulty) comes into the forward line instead of Kevin Slattery.

Jaysus Jimbo what about Costello and Eric Lowndes? In their third All Ireland and still haven't won one. And the football is not a banker as last year would show.

Sorry but I want this one, with all due respect to your lads.

Thats ok, D2; may the best team win
But that minor football team of yours is a super team, so I'm sure you won't mind sharing the spoils with us

To be honest I fear we are losing it on the line. One of the backs should not be stating and Costello should be full forward with Cian Boland midfield. I fear a two man full forward line.

Yojimbo, do you think that this year's Dublin minor football team is really that good. IMO, Dublin had a better team last year. I don't think that the 2011 Dublin Minor footballers would have allowed an average Kerry team to reduce a 7 points half time lead back to 2 points. The ironic thing is that last year's team failed to win Dublin's first Minor All Ireland since 1984, but I have no doubt at all that this year's team will be All Ireland Champions in 2 weeks time and will bridge that 28 year gap.

They allowed Kerry into the game for about 10 minutes of the second half, but other than that, it was men against boys, and the outcome was never really in doubt.

Speaking as a Tipp man I'll readily admit that the 2011 Dublin team should have beaten us, so I wouldn't be so sure that they would have been so ruthless against the decidedly average 2012 Kerry team

Have you managed to find out any of the Tipp Minors names Jimbo or do you still refer to them by their jersey numbers ?

You've just gone beyond boring at this stage.

You and your two girlfriends/appendages, 'McMurrough' and 'Hyde', should go off into a corner and titter among yourselves
It would certainly prove more worthwhile than anything your unholy trinity have said here

Having seen both teams in action I expect Tipp to win this with a bit to spare if both sides play to form.
However its all on the day , especially with minors.Tipp's inbuilt cockiness might just tell against them.
Then again this Dublin team isn't as good as last years.
Hope the Dubs pul it off.

I don't think this young Tipp side will be too complacent against Dublin; they were impressively clinical against Galway and will be aware of Dublin as the 'coming force'
