Yesterday took the biscuit. Granted I only saw one person doing it. Anybody else see anyone leaving with a few minutes to go in the closest All-Ireland in ages?

I saw that too, but put it down to the likelihood that Sabina had told him be home in time for tea.

I met someone working in a shop that was told Galway lost by a point! The woman must have turned off the TV after Joe missed the free.

A former Derry footballer and multiple All Star left with Kilkenny a point up in injury time. Couldn't believe it when I saw him on the way out.

Sounds abit like the Limerick lads who left early in 1994 to get a good spot at the bar-counter and celebrate their famous win

It was a decent Offaly man seated beside me who shook my hand and congratulated me in 1994 and headed off with 6mins to go adding that he had to milk the cows when he got home.I knew where he was coming from as the father had us trotting out of Semple Stadium always in the last minute in order to get away home for milking.

Do you consider multiple to mean more than 2 or more than 1?
Only 2 Derrymen qualify as multiple All-Star winners if you mean the former.

My uncle was sure Kerry had won the 5-in-a-row in 1982 until he was in Portlaoise.

My mother and father left the 1982 all ireland final early when Offaly were about 5 points behind with 10 minutes left and looked to be going nowhere. They only found out what happened when some fella hugged my father out in the street

Yeah, I saw a few leave. I think they were neutrals. I saw another fella walk back in 5 mins after half time with a coffee. How can you just sit there nonchalantly sipping on coffee in a game like that????

I got a premium level ticket for the Clare/KK all ireland in 2002. A fairly good one at that. A woman and her 12 year old son were beside me. I noticed after half time that there was no sign of them and when I glanced around into the bar there were the 2 sittting down watching the second half on one of the small tv's at the bar.

Jaysus lads some of ye would fit the bill for Animal Farm. If someone wants to leave before the match is over, so what?

It's their own choice and their own business, it's a sports stadium not a gulag ...get lives, ffs!

I've always been amazed at the amount of people who travel into Croke Park and then watch te game on telly in the premium. If ye want to have a few beers, why not just go to a pub? I know a lot of premium tickets are freebies but it still seems like a lot of hassle to come all the way into the stadium to sit in a bar!

In fairness as the taxi driver said to George Best as he was leaving the Camp Nou in 99...''where did it all go wrong , George?''.
