did you ever catch yourself humming it or singing it to yourself when no one was around? and then get mortified for a second before continuing?

Christ I thought I was the only one who remembered, and hummed it aswell..

Let me thinkg now...

I was walking one day in the heart of middle winter,
Taking Sheep from the hills, to greener fields below,

something along those lines... powerful stuff Mick Lally

Ah f*ck the lot of ye. I need an MP3 of it now. Hardly exists. In fact Paddy Power wouldn't even offer astronomical odds for it. I'll have to get on to John Creedon and get him to play it along with the theme tune from Bracken.

if you do find an MP3 of the song, will you let me know, as I would love it to, just for the get-togethers, house partys, what have you, everyone would love it, and instantly recongise it

Will indeed ASH. While we're on the subject of MP3s. Has anyone got an MP3 of Damien Dempsey's Going down to Dublin Town. Another one for the parties I reckon.

But of course that was written when Wesley Burrows was in command of the ship.

Cyril Cusack was a horrible man, never played a nice character in his life.

Michael McDermott wife-beater storyline took place in the 9th episode of the first series, November 1983

Anorak alert...

Bracken took on some serious issues in its one series. The
most serious issue Glenroe ever took on in its 18 or 19 years
what the definition of free range eggs.

Hilarious episode where Dinny is training the auld lads such as Dick and Jack for some niggle over 45 tie against Greystones or someone. Dinny does mention hurling in Bracken though as he tells Miley about some field that was perfect for hurling when he was a young lad.

Blackie and Miley went down to the local pitch for a few pucks one day. Blackie (who showed great promise as a minor in Clash of the Ash) wasn't impressed with Miley's skill level. Ireland was an innocent place when Glenroe was popular. The theme tune at 9pm always marked the end of another weekend, I fcuking hated it as a kid!

Vodka I don't know about Oliver. Was he Pat Barry's brother? Was he meant to have been murdered?

What was wrong with Cyril Cusack?
He fathered a few nice daughters!
