Wont be another London team in the premiership thank God .
Bristol is a fine spot and Hull supposed to be nice too though i haven`t been there . Two good spots for supporters of Liverpool and Man united fans etc who regurarly travel over to games to vist for an away match next season . normally fairly cheap flights from shannon to Bristol .

Could be a long night for the police in Manchester tonight , Rangers fans running riot after the bad result - the big screen failing a few minutes into the game probably didn`t help!

I did not see any of the televised Soccer this evening, as I was at a Football match, but I do not think that many contributors to this forum would regard Rangers losing as a "bad result".

Yes will be good to see a new face. Hull is the largest city in Europe never to have had a team in the top flight in their domestic league.

Hull have never been in the top division?

Was there two years ago for a game against Derby, which
they won 2-1. Lovely new stadium. 25K capacity. The city
itself is a bit of a kip though.

Neither team will survive in the Premiership/Premier League
next season though.

Great result for Hull and Phil Brown
He has done a great job
Wonder can we entice him back to Bolton

Did Hull nearly enter administration a few years back??? Some achievement to get to where they are now.

I`d say there is zero chance of either of those teams staying up for more than one year. great achievement for the one that gets there though..

who went up via the playoffs last year? was it Derby?

B]

But sure one would probably have said the same about Reading a couple of years ago. They finished 7th or 8th or something in their first season. Bristol seem to have an excellent manager in this guy Johnson. Very highly regarded. I think Hull have a bit of cash. Didn`t they hold talks with Christian Vieri last summer??

I didn`t know that about Christian Vieri but they were lucky not to sign him going on his performance v Rangers a couple of weeks ago. It will be good to see some new teams in the premiership although most likely they will go straight down again.

True, and also Wigan and Fulham before them I suppose...I guess the tradition of a club means nothing anymore, its all down to whether a club has a rich benefactor. if they do the premiership is reachable.

I see Carlisle have come a long way since the Roddy Collins days. have they got some moola??

I dont think Vieri would be a good signing for any english team...what age is he now?? 35??

Poor old Vieiri looks like he is falling to pieces. There are stong signs that he is having a dose of the black dog.
