Was just wondering if NUIG have any players back for the game against CIT.The 5 lads would make a big difference to the team which looked good against DIT last week. Also whats the story with Aidan Harte thought he was in NUIG ??
Fancy UCC to bounce back from the defeat to LIT and beat WIT.

WIT are playing LIT in Limerick on wednesday. LIT expected to win and if Joe Canning keeps up his recent form they probably will win. But you`d never know with WIT, they have a winning tradition

Will he be playing? Just with the All Ireland Club Semi vs Dunloy on Sunday

Good point. I didnt even think of that. I`d say Portumna wouldnt want him anywhere near a pitch just days before an All-Ireland semi final but he`s crucial to LIT.

Even if LIT played without him and lost they`re still almost certain to qualify from thr group aren`t they ?
Obviously Davy will want him to play , but I`d doubt that the Potumna mentors would be too keen on it .

i expect joe 2 play no disrespect to dunloy but ifit was any other provincial champion it might be questionable. also isn`t he on scholarship down there, would be bad form if he didnt play and was on scholarship

Of course he will play, the fact that he is on a big fat sports busary with LIT means that he has an obligation to play....Considering that he started against UL a couple of years ago hampered by injury the week before an A/I club match I don`t see why he won`t play in this one

Can you post up the odds?

LIT will still have too much for WIT in my view. Canning would be a loss if he didnt play (i think he will by the way ) , but they have a decent defence in any event and Callinan, Hyland and the likes have enough firepower. On home turf against a WIT side which i dont perceive as strong, i reckon they`ll come through!

UCG will face a tough game in Belfield. Cant make it out to this with work but it should be a good game all things considered. I have a fancy for UCD to be honest. On home turf, good win last week and a dangerous forward line, i think UCD could snatch it! Its the pick of the games for me!

UCC will take GMIT also. I rekcon DIT could take CIT in Grangegorman and Pats should have too much for UUJ.

I was at a few of the LIT games the last few years and that`s where they were on anyway, the pitch beside the all-weather.

I think whether Canning plays or not will have a major bearing on this match. With no Canning playing I`d give WIT a good chance. I know LIT are strong anyway but WIT have a good team as opposed to other years where they had superstars. WIT have a solid defence and a good keeper. The full forward line are good fast players too. And they have a winning mentality from recent successes. It could be a good game. All that said however, I`d expect Canning to play and WIT will struggle to contain him.

The UCD game is on in the pitch beside the all weather pitch. The intermediate final is on at 4p.m on the all weather pitch.
UCD V NUIG in that one as well

I will be in Limerick tomorrow and was thinking of heading to see Joe and LIT playing. Where is the pitch  (is it beside the college? )  and what time is the game starting?
Thanks lads and ladies.

DIT 15/8 Draw 9/1 CIT 4/9
UCD 2/7 Draw 10/1 NUIG 11/4

I`ll go with UCC, LIT, CIT, NUIG

lit have enough to beat wit on current form even without joe canning.
wits only really dangerous forward is hammersley. mcloughney is not all that good from open play and fintan o leary has a good deal of running in him but doesn`t appear to be a prolific forward. their backs are solid though

Halftime at Belfield, UCD 0-9 NUIG 0-7. Galway had the breeze in the first half too.

I`m told LIT were 10 pts to 4 up a few minutes ago

NUIG 2-9 UCD 0-12 now. Coone with a goal from a deflected free and Caimin Morey on the end of a long Donovan clearance for the second. Five left
