Local GAA rivals Dunshaughlin and Blackhall Gaels will go head to head when the two sides take to the boxing ring on Friday March 26th in Dunboyne Castle. "Club Fight" will be a White Collar Boxing event that will see players from both clubs stand toe to toe in the boxing ring, with club pride and bragging rights at stake.

Over the years Dunshaughlin players like Caoimhin King, Martin Reilly and John Crimmins have had titanic battles on the football pitch with their Blackhall counterparts like Paul Nestor, Mark Crampton and Mark Ferris. Now these scores will be settled in an event which will see all the razzamatazz of the boxing world come to Dunshaughlin and Batterstown/Kilcloon. There will be 12 bouts on the night between footballers who will have been transformed into boxers by a rigorous training regime overseen by former Olympic boxer Cathal O`Grady.

This is a joint fundraising venture between the two clubs. Both clubs represent ever expanding parishes and funds raised from this event will go towards ambitious development plans that will be undertaken in the near future. These impending projects will ensure that both clubs continue to provide the best resources for those playing Gaelic Games in their respective communities. Money raised from this event will be pumped directly into these developments so those in both communities and indeed around the county are urged to support it.

This promises to be an action packed night that will provide entertainment to all partisans and neutrals alike. Tickets are priced at €30  (€20 for Students )  and are available from both clubs. These tickets are sure to sell fast so be sure to book your ticket at the "Royal Rumble", contact info@dunshaughlin.comor webmaster@blackhallgaels.com or ring Donnacha Lloyd  (087 2041070 )  or Mark Crampton  (086 8258284 )
