You know the way when you are in places like Kracow or somewhere like that you can go off to a range and fire off a few AK47`s and MP5`s etc......is there anyway you can do something like that in Ireland? If you want to go shooting do you have to join a gun club? Is it only rifles you get to fire or is it other sorts of guns also? How do you go about joining a club?

A mate fo mine did it nt so long ago. I`ll ask him how he did it. There`s a shooting forum on boards.ie, I`d say there`d be some info on that.

All i know is i went to buy a pellet gun last year and discovered that it is now legally a weapon that requires a gun license. One of the requirements to get this license is you have to be a member of a gun club. I dont really want the pellet gun that badly.

That`s a bit ridiculous isn`t it. I was thinking of getting one of those to shoot cats. There is no fun in anything these days, they ban absolutely everything.....the bloody greens are usually behind all that type of stuff too!

As a youth justice worker I support the licencing of pellet guns they were beginning to become very common among folk that were not as responsible as you`re average afr poster.

One of the most unpleasant experiences one can have at a GAA event is to be sitting in the general area of Tipp fans at a championship match. First of all that horrible chant would go through you...."Tipp! Tipp! Tipp", I shudder to think of it! There is also usually some bogmeister absolutely roaring abuse at one of your players, which granted all counties have, but Tipp seems to have more of these ignoramus characters than most. I never enjoy the atmosphere at Tipp matches and for the reasons I mentioned above, no, I won`t leave Tipp alone.

I was going to get it to shoot swallows! i also found out that you have to have a license for each individual weapon too. Was told for each license you`ve to fill in 9 pages. So if say you have 5 weapons thats 45 pages you`ve to fill out.

Go to the Czech Republic and fire all the guns you want. I don`t have a link but I know someone who did it and said they had a blast,no pun intended. If I get a name of a range I will post it up.
