Well SLR what would the hunch be with those 3 involved? Would whatever they recommend more than likely become the chosen option? If so a lot of pressure on their shoulders.

So is justin just one of the options now for these three to consider recommending or do they need to speak to him first to ascertain his position/interest do ye know?

From what I hear on the news, the three are there to choose any FUTURE manager. Does that mean that they have to wait until Justin either jumps or is pushed?

3 well informed and well intentioned men saw Paudie down in Crowes Shop at the Ministers Cross earlier on he didnt seem too perplexed.
Lets hope they come up with a reasonable solution bearing in mind that this is the most critical time that Limerick hurling has ever seen.
Not a time for short fix measures.
Apart from the senior set up debacle there is quite a lot of dsiquiet about the management of this year`s minor team but even more so the U21 squad.
Tomorrow night`s match will tell a lot.
Hope Im wrong but my prediction of a minimun 6 point win for Clare is shared by many Limerick supporters and if this happens then you know what will hit the fan.

Would Quigley be of the same thinking as Timmy O`Connor? Back Page man also involved with Na Piarsaigh...

St.Kierans are predominantly a Football Club and also the club of Treasurer Eoin Hayes,a big Justin Supporter and bosom buddies with the back page man.Hmmmmm....

Paudie Fitzmaurice is a Killeedy man,Cathal Mullanes club.

Im not sure what to make of that appointment.Whats your view SLR?

Quigley and Fitzmaurice will be spot on. I know very little about Woulfe but I have been assured in good faith that he is also spot on.

The trouble is that   (a  )   95% of internal managerial candidates cannot be considered for political reasons/agendas etc. Most external managers wouldnt touch it.

They have a difficult job but they will leave no stone unturned as they bid to do it. I hope that they manage to attract the best possible man in every respect.

As it stands Limerick doesn`t have any manager.Justin time ended after the offaly game.

But yes he name can be put forward again by a club. And I`m sure two or three clubs will. But its up to these 3 men to write out a shortlist of people for the job. Then the people picked will have a interview and who ever they feel will do the best for limerick hurling will be picked. But its unlikely Justin will be in the shortlist.Plus anybody whos name is in the hat can withdraw themselfs

Grand, thanks for the clarification - and good luck, Limerick need a `period of reflection`, it sounds as if these 3 might act with a bit of sense.

Ok So.

If your were to put somebody forward.Who would it be?

I`d go for Stephen McDonagh as manager and
Ciaran Carey
Garry Kirby
Dave Clarke

Give them a 3 year deal then and pick from the 2009,2010 panels and give a few miniors a chance too to mix it up Plus there will be a few players that will shine the the Club Championship.

These people need to get involved in Limerick Hurling management, but dont know about Senior just yet.

Ciaran Carey, Stephen McDonagh, Davey Clarke, TJ Ryan, Declan Nash, Ollie Moran.

For now heres who id throw into the hat.

Gary Kirby
Dave Keane  (has unfinished business with Limerick )
Pat Herbert

My number 1 on the list would be Donal O`Grady of Cork,i think he is a class act and to listen to him you know he would be a great manager. Not a Limk man though.

The trainer is every bit as important nowadays as the manager. They dont necessarily have to be the same man.

Donal is a very good manager but its a Limerick man i think we need at this time.Garry Kirby is a great coach.I`d say he was the main reason or forward were so good in 2007.

Dave Keane does have unfinished Business with Limerick. What they donr to him should never have happened.

Could we get Dave Keane back as Manager with Gary as Coach/select or and maybe Clarke or McDonagh as other select or?

Or else give it to the man people say should have got it ages ago, Pat Herbert?

Option 3 would be to bring back Tom! He`d have the passion anyway! I must say i like Tom Ryan but he`d have to have a very good modern trainer with him, with him as manager.

Any other early runners?Anything on the grapevine?

I presume Justin`s chances are incredibly slim are they?

I would be surprised if O`Grady would be interested

cork got it right with their 3man commitee when they were asked to appoint a manager after a period of conflict

JBM, Denis Coughlan and John Fenton if i recall. Denis Walsh was their surprise choice at the time. Seems to have worked out well. Maybe Limerick will have similiar good fortune.
