Tyrell`s tackle (frontal charge which he is constantly getting away with in every game he plays ) , Tennyson cowardly and desperate act of throwing the hurl, Tommy walsh attempting to start fights every couple of minutes.....Sad seeing such a great team being reduced to such lows...
I was embarrassed for kk by the end of the game...they should have at least went out with a degree of self respect..

Horse,
Have you ever played the game at any kind of serious level.
It`s a mans game.. if you give it expect to take. KK were never afraid of either.

In the middle of the second half Sunday, the ball broke in between Curran and Hogan. Further out the field, just beyond half way on the Cusack Stand side by the sideline, a row broke out involving Eoin Kelly and Tommy Walsh and a few more. Curran got the ball out eventually and rose it out near the corner flag and came out with it - looked up and saw the lads pushing and shoving and darting one another where he intended to play it, realised there was no point playing it out there, so played a short pass infield to Paraic Maher instead who cleared it. As he cleared it, the protagonists in the row realised the ball was coming back up their way again and left it and went off after the ball. Curran was looking at them shaking his head. In fairness, the ref and linesman left it. Was the most bizarre moment in the game, tinged with a bit of comedy for good measure.

i was amazed when people started talking about you having over 1000 posts because i was unaware of you wandering around the place.
generally by the time someone has 1000 posts you would imagine they would have said something of interest along the way

Should Kilkenny be embarrassed?.....no.
But..........I in the second half I saw an incident that I wasn`t impressed with. I didn`t post after the game as I was sure the anti-KK/Tommy Walsh accusations would be trotted out.
A ball was gathered and was being cleared by Hickey. Eoin Kelly ran to block him down. Walsh stepped across to block him and Kelly shoved him with his hurley. At that stage the ball was cleared. The ref and linesman followed the ball up the field. Walsh lashed 3/4 times across Kelly before he finally retaliated. By the time the linesman turned, he only saw 2 of them at it. You could see the anger of Kelly as they were booked. I have yet to watch the game on TV so don`t know how much the cameras caught.
However from my perch in the Hogan Stand, it was plain to be seen.
No amount of guff about "man`s game", "playing on the edge", "singling Tommy out" would cover up for a piece of blatant dirtiness.

on the main question of the topic heading the fact is that kilkenny should be embarrassed by their tactics or approach.
the ignorant way they attempted to engineer a comeback was most unlike kilkenny. normally the thing that strikes fear into the heart of teams playing a good kil.kenny side is themovement and touch of the forwards and the ability to turn point scoring chances into goals. the kilkenny minors second goal against us was a case in point.
but last sunday the entire response of kilkenny to adversity was to win the ball, go in to contact and break the tackle and then hit it blindly forward. the natural inclination of forwards under pressure is to compact towards the ball and the delivery from the backs compounded the problem.
if people could maybe discuss this rather than the drivel espoused by the nut above ...............

Brilliant post as an example on how to use language to make a point with blinkers on. Try this for an alternative view.
Kelly in a most cowardly fashion flattened a brave TW, striking him from behind with his hurl leaving him prostrate on the ground. This is the same Kelly that took Ollie Canning out of the game in the semi-final by striking him across the knee with the side of his hurl.
Tommy, never one to lay down and feign injury, immediately jumped to his feet and heroically confronted his larger opponent, failing official intervention he exacted retribribution himself. At this point the officials intervened, and Tommy, more sinned than sinned against, was booked for defending himself following this cowardly assault from behind.
Take your pick depending on your prejudice.

And in turn yours is a brilliant post on why anything questioning must be loaded by prejudice.
I have never before posted a criticism of the lad. I described it as I saw it. I believe in the particular incident I saw that it was Kelly that was more sinned against.
Is your version what your saw, or merely a devil`s advocate account?
