The Shanghai Gaelic Football Club Saints and Sirens are proud to announce they will again be hosting the All-China Gaelic Games in Shanghai on Saturday 30 April 2011.
The ninth edition of the annual festival of Gaelic sport and craic is sure to be another of China’s most exciting and competitive sports tournaments. Teams from around China, including Shanghai, Beijing, Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Suzhou and Dalian, will compete for the coveted men’s and ladies All-China Gaelic Football titles. In 2009 and 2010 the Shanghai ladies took home the Cup and are aiming to make it three straight successes in 2011.
With over 220 players and even more spectators, the tournament is one of the largest regional competitions in Asia. But when the ball is not in play, the aim is to have the best time possible!
The All-China Games began back in 2002 and are a highlight of mid-season for the clubs in mainland China & Hong Kong. The games are a one-day tournament of both Men’s & Ladies Gaelic Football. The tournament is an ACB Sponsored event.
