Aussies Name Squad for Dublin
The Australian Football League (AFL) have announced that the Australian
selectors have named the squad for the upcoming International Rules Series
against Ireland, to be played in Dublin next month. The Australian squad,
which is sponsored by Foster’s, will gather in Melbourne on Saturday October
5 for a three-day training camp, before heading to Dublin.

Ireland are the defending champions, having won last year's series in
Australia, but the last Australian touring team to Ireland in 2000 completed
a 2-0 sweep of the series.

The players selected in the 2002 All Australian side were automatically
included in the Australian squad, if they were available to tour, while the
selection committee was able to add players to top up the squad. A final
check on the health of all players will be made after this week's Grand
Final.

The full squad is: Jason Akermanis (Lions), Craig Bradley (Carlton), Nathan Brown (Western Bulldogs), Cameron Bruce (Melbourne), Nathan Buckley
(Collingwood), Chad Cornes (Port Adelaide), Shane Crawford( Hawthorn), Luke
Darcy (Western Bulldogs), Tyson Edwards (Adelaide), Josh Francou (Port
Adelaide), Simon Goodwin (Adelaide), Chris Johnson (Lions), Chris Judd (West
Coast), Andrew Kellaway (Richmond), Daniel Kerr (West Coast), Angelo Lekkas
(Hawthorn), Paul Licuria (Collingwood), Stephen Milne (St Kilda), Brett
Montgomery (Port Adelaide), David Neitz (Melbourne), Matthew Pavlich
(Fremantle), Matthew Primus (Port Adelaide), Mark Ricciuto (Adelaide), Nick
Riewoldt (St Kilda), Adam Simpson (Kangaroos), Warren Tredrea (Port Adelaide), Adem Yze (Melbourne).

Standby Players: James Clement (Collingwood), Des Headland (Lions), Shane
Parker (Fremantle), Brad Scott (Lions).


The two Coca-Cola Test matches will be played at Croke Park on Sunday
October 13 and Sunday October 20.
