Moyne and Hospital must meet again
Moyne CS, Longford 0-7 John the Baptist, Hospital, Limerick 1-4.
A pointed free from captain Ruth Mulligan six minutes from the end, saved the blushes after Moyne CS of Longford squandered chances and that score gave them a share of the spoils against John the Baptist, Hospital, in the in the Pat the Baker All Ireland Ladies Gaelic Football Post Primary Senior C Final at Tuam Stadium.
A goal from full forward Denise Connolly helped the Limerick side into a 1-3 to 0-4 half time lead, after a gusty performance from the Longford side in the opening quarter when facing a stiff breeze.
It took just seven minutes for the Moyne girls to level when Niamh Fitzpatrick scored a brace of points but a point from Aoife Power put the Limerick side back in front. Moyne had plenty of chances before Mulligan brought the game to parity. A super save from Hospital goalkeeper Therese Barry who saved a point blank effort from Noelle Ward two minutes from the end gave both sides another day.
